ZonkotheSane nathan_ngl ZonkotheSane tsshark ZonkotheSane tsshark it's ok, i'm just having a bad day... ok, so shavuos is one of our holydays. this holyday is equal 2 passover and sucot. on the other hand, the holyday is just 1 day, (2 days in the exile), and not 7... in this holyday, we celebrate the giving of the Torah to the Jewish People at Mt. Sinai. 2 days, this year not in israel though shabbos? I think he considers shabbos and yom tov seperate, even if they come one after the other wink (like rabbi nahman, mesehet beitza, page 4b I think). But then again, it is 2 consecutive holy days this year, since they are both holy days rofl . they are seperate, if perhaps not chronologically. anyway, it's 2 straight days of no melocha yea, but that doesn't make this year's shavuot 2 days, you know... stare

You both have a point, it simply depends how you look at it.
Since Zonko was replying to the post reffering to the amount of holy-days, you two talking about two entirely different things. If the subject at had is holidays (which I think is what Tomer really meant), then it really is just one day, and I am sure you both agree that shabbat is indeed shabbat, and shavuot is indeed shavuot.
Please keep the discussion clean blaugh .

actually, there is no way in the world that shabat and yom tov (when they are in different days, like friday-yom tov and then shabat, or shabat and then sunday-yom tov) will become one kedusha...

don't get mad at me, nathan will translate it in a while

Consecutive days can be in two cases: A Yom-tov that comes right before shabbat - Friday->Shabbat. A Tom-tov that comes right after shabbat - Shabbat->Sunday.
Meaning that there is NO BREAK in the middle, and its just like a double whammy shabbat, only... not rofl .

Actually, what would your keyboard look like? xp sweatdrop When you do the right cntrl+alt you type in english, and when you do the left cntrl+alt you write in hebrew. To switch the direction you write from, you just do cntrl+shift on the side you want to switch too. It's pretty simple 3nodding .
