And I thought she was singing another song because that doesn't go in AI. I knew she meant the line "Well maybe I'm the f*****t america" because she probably has the clean version so it comes up as a beep.
And then she said: "American Idiot! Know your greenday!"
I'm like, I do. It says Well maybe I'm the f*****t america. I know more about green day than you. Trust me.
Then she said, well guys like me more.
What the hell?
Nice comeback though, on her part.
"Guys like me better".
That's sure to shed a few tears. rolleyes

yeah scream i've thought about that same thing domokun it's really annoying how people think they're "big fans of green day", when they've just heard a few of they're new songs stare i hate them scream one chick in my class, had never before heard about green day, until she heard american idiot from the radio, and told me that "they're so lovely, and that she's a big fan of them", without knowing anything about them gonk

AlienX xXxX_Haushinka_xXxX yea i have this girl at my school who i thought was a green day fan..she was wearing an "american idiot" t-shirt. so one day i talked to her...turns out she's just got a lot of money and spoiled.
me: hey you like green day?
her: yea! they are awesome! im like they're biggest fan!
me: really stare
her: yea! i went to one of their concerts, the american idiot tour.
me: gonk what?!!! how long have you waited for that?
her: oh i just asked my mom and she said i could biggrin
me:how long have you liked them?
her: uhhh like forever (shes a real bad liar so i could tell she was lying)
me: do you have any of their cds?
her: yea like ALL of them!
me: stare name them then if you have all of them
her: american idiot.,...
me:...yea and...?
her: uh yea all the other ones
me: stare ...*walks away*
well to me a true green day fan is someone who can really relate to being an outcast or a loser and not caring what other people say. for me, when i hear songs like basket case or longview im like OMG that is soooo me! And lets say green day is all of a sudden known as a gay band...if you still love them, then that is a real green day fan. And being gay is a bad thing? im just saying that you got to love green day through it all....god do i have to translate everything?!

Oh my god I know a girl who does the exact same thing. I hate her for it! She thinks that she's a bigger fan than me but she only has American Idiot and says that it's their only album! I have all thier albums and I know the words to almost every track! scream

I do hate them so much.
But try this:
I've been a GD fan since I was 10,
So I'm not exactly a poser now, am I?
There's a b***h who's been on my case forever, and recently she loves calling me a poser.
So I was sitting down listening to American Idiot with my good friend Zak
She comes over, and starts giving me s**t because I think I'm cool for liking Green Day now that they're a 'fad'. And of course, called me a poser.
(I have never claimed yo be anything, her opinion is completely biased)
I lost it, flipped at her, and smacked her in the face and said to never call me a poser again.
It lasted about a week. stare

I hate all the girls who only like Green Day because BIllie Joe is hot. I'm 14, and i only found out about Green DAy when American Idiot came out. But i love Dookie. I have all their albums and i'm not a stupid fangirl

I've been listening to them since I was 8 (not exactly a poser now). I had Dookie, Nimrod and Insomniac (until the freaking chamber maid in hawaii stole it, I know it's a great CD but come on!).
maybe that's why I'm so screwed up. xp
I kind of -forgot- about them *shields from all you guys* after Shenanigans came out. Then I heard AI on the radio and I knew it was them and i was like "HALEILUJAH!" (sp?)

This is going to sound lame, but during the peak of the whole BoBD/AI phase of my school, I gave them Green Day Knowledge Classes.
They all listened to me like... I don't know, but their ears were practically glued to my mouth. They all thought:
1) They were a new band.
2) They... well actually only Billie, because that's the onlt member they knew, was in his 20s.
3) They sound like Simple Plan etc. and they were only here because Simple Plan inspired them.
4) Liking Green Day even Simple Plan! instantly made you a goth.
I don't know...
It was annoying, but after that, I felt very good about myself, and a lot better knowing all the questions would stop. 3nodding
*On main topic* Nobody calls themself a big Green Day fan. They just say, "Oh, I love BoBD [AI and/or Holiday]."
I don't mind when people say that. I asked a few girls if they considered themselves fans because they liked 1-3 songs and they all replied, "No! Look at you, and look at me. There's a big diffrence. I you considered me a big fan, what would people consider you as? I only like a few songs."
It's a lot more bearable than all of what I've just read.

Altough I just know them from American Idiot. And Dookie was just released when I was 1 jear old. So shame redface
But.... It's true I hate guys who say that Green Day is 'soft' or for dummies.
Some guys say Green Day is not so succesfull like bands as Slipknot or Rammstein. But I know almost whole America loves them. And I (living in Holland) love them too.
