Yes, yes I know, poets are authors too, just establishing both are welcome.
Victor Hugo-Les Miserables William Shakespeare-Macbeth or Hamlet T.S. Elliot-The Hollow Men Franz Kafka-The Trial Joseph Conrad-Heart of Darkness Edgar Allan Poe-The Raven (what can I say, it's an amazingingly well written and captivating poem) Robert Frost-The Road Not Taken (it doesn't mean what everyone thinks it does, pm me if you want to know what I mean)
So yeah, those are a handfull of my favourite works by a handfull of my favourite authors. How about everyone else?

I particularily like Robert Frost's work. Paints a well skilled mind picture with each one.

I'd have to say Edgar Allen Poe both as an author and poet.

I am VERY fond of Edgar Allan Poe. I guess it's just basicly following a stereotype, but I just love all that hes written. My favorite is "Al-Aaraaf". (I know, my username left an "A" out)
