I was going through the TOWNL forums, and I came across this really well done fanfic for the ending of deathnote. Personally I liked it more than the real ending.
It should be something to help cheer up Light fans.

Hmm... That was interesting. I'm wondering, do the chapters that occur in the meeting room with N match up with the real chapters? That would be cool.
