From what I remember of Return of the Jedi I'm going to say that Amidala flees to Aalerdan with Leia and sends Luke to Tatooine.

but why....... i feel sorry for luke......

Not as easy to find. But what I want to know is how she knew of the relatives. Seeing as how it mother died, and he never had any other real family on the planet. So how does she know of one family that is related to them?

Obi-Wan and Yoda had to hide Luke, because he is the son of Anakin. If he was found and raised to learn the ways of the Dark Side, the Emperor and Darth Vader would have been able to terrorize the galaxy without end.

Luke was the last hope. And if he messed up and got himself killed, or fall to the Dark Side (which Obi-Wan and Yoda feared when he went to Bespin), they had a back up in Leia, but that was, like, their last resort plan if they had to fall back on it.

Not as easy to find. But what I want to know is how she knew of the relatives. Seeing as how it mother died, and he never had any other real family on the planet. So how does she know of one family that is related to them?

A friend told me that rumor is that Leia is born first, and touches Padme before Padme died. Through the Force, she got the connection and faint memories of her mother.

The Jedi Council have vast resources. I would be willing to bet that at some point Obi Wan looked it up.

Um... guys? Amidala was on Tatooine when young Anakin left, and the couple that raised Luke was there as well. So she knew of the family. I can't remember if Obi-Wan was there as well though.

Yeah I remember that about episode II as well. I don't think Obi-Wan was there though... I'm going to watch tonight so I'll just check to see.

Yeah I remember that about episode II as well. I don't think Obi-Wan was there though... I'm going to watch tonight so I'll just check to see.

In Episode II? No, he wasn't. He was on that bug world being held by Count Dooku.
