Is this one of those Alternate Reality Games or a real clever promo for a thing?

Yes.

It is a fictional foundation based on the story of ABC's Lost series. ABC runs the same commercial found on the website during the show to generate continued interest in the series. On the show, Alvar Hanso is responsible for creating the giant underground complex on the island and the still vague "Dharma Initiative" project.

When I first saw the employment page and saw the Monster job site logo, I did a double take.

It looks like this cat is out of the bag.

At first, I wasn't excited about this show despite the fact I got to see the first episode at ComicCon two years ago, along with a bunch of the actors from the show.

It wasn't until the second season that the fever hit. At last, a great mainstream science fiction series in primetime. Yeah, it has flaws, but the good bits far outweigh the minor logic bombs.

Hey, it's a huge hit in certain parts of Mexico, or so my cousin tells me. He's crazy about it!

(Though not more than me... And I still live in Mexico)

No need to wait. ABC is providing the episodes free on their website now (not in a savable file format though), and selling the episodes on the US iTunes music store and in DVD box sets. It helps if you have broadband for the on-line versions.

What, Mexico also has things like American TV shows? domokun I jest

Sorry, all I know about Mexico is derived from Westerns and Amores Perros which is one helluva amazing movie, mind.

Lost was mildly popular in italy too.

If it's any consolation, the U.S. is less than 35 miles from my house. Which is why I could see things like season finales in English and all.

My cousin (Poor him!) has to wait nearly a year to watch the dubbed version. he lives far down south! xd

Amores Perros is an amazing movie.
