I've been playing the viola for two years now.
Does anybody else play a musical instrument?

rock on girlfriend!!!! I have the pleasure of playing the gracefull, quiet trumpet. hehe gracefull, oh i crack myself up. I still have nightmares of the first trumpet class i was in. it was almost as bad as when my music teatcher tried to teach us all to play violin. at an age whan boys hated girls. and violins. but not makeing horrible screeching noieses with a instrumant that suddenly becomes an weapon of tourture sweatdrop gonk xd

I play bass. And piano. Both are self taught. My boyfriend WAS supposed to be giving me bass lessons... then we started dating... My bass is probably badly out of tune right now.

Piano for a couple years when I was a kid, but I don't remember any of it. lol
I played violin for several years, but I stopped when I found I really wasn't going anywhere with it and I wasn't too into it. Lately, I've been thinking of picking it back up, but I'm not really sure if I should.
I've been playing percussion for seven years (total band geek!), but I haven't played for the last year because of school and reluctance to join college marching band. sweatdrop I'm proficient at all the instruments, but my strengths are marching tenors (quads/quints), crash cymbals (marching or concert), and timpani (kettle drums).
Dang, I miss band.

I play the violin in my school orchestra which isn't that bad but I don't really care for the people in the program. I also play the piano a bit, self-taught. I can play 'The Music of the Night' on easy piano! mrgreen Happy!

I used to play the electone (an electric organ that has all kinds of sounds and gizmos you can manipulate. Japanese, 'nuff said.) and clarinet. Lately, though, I've taken up the piano and the saxophone, both of which are very similar to my previous instruments.

I've been playing the flute since I was 11 and have been taking piano lessons for two years. I just started college so I'm having to get used to playing in a whole new band. It doesn't help that it's small and on the first night I was the only flute. I was so nervous I didn't even play every time I was suppose to. The second class went much better, for one there was another flute & I tried to loosen up a bit.
