As the class began to fill with students a particular group of girls came into the room whispering amongst themselves. "Did you hear...the wolf has settled."

"No way!" A girl squealed.

"Yes, he's only been here a few weeks now and has gotten quite a few people under his belt. And now..he's settling with one girl." the leader of the group said in a snide way.

"Wow, I wonder who he's with?"

"It doesn't matter...she's probably a slut anyway. I mean who would go out with him knowing how many partners he's had." The leader mocked. All the girls giggled amongst themselves.

The chattered continued on like this until a silence went over the group. In random sucession all their cellphones went off. Each girl took the time to look at their phones. "I got a text message."

"Me too!" the others cried in unison. They all read the text and simotaneously they turned to look at Obsidian; glares mixed with outrage and jealousy plastered to their faces. They began whispering anew as the whole class began to turn to Obisidan in an uproar, on all their phones was a text message:

The one who warms the wolf's bed is... Obsidian Williams. the number was untraceable and even Obsidian would be able to read it as her cell phone went off with the others.

It was not to be as the girls felt it their job to patronize the girl. The lead of the small group jumped up, "You think you're so hot cause he's your boyfriend now don't you? Don't forget he's a whore and that makes you a slut." This seemed to please the group backing her up as they all seemed to chant slut over and over again.

The noise was quite loud as the teacher entered the room with a miffed look. "What is the meaning of this? Take your seats." he scuffed and all the students did as told. Class went by rather slow as everyone seemed to be giving Obie evil glares the whole time.

When the class was over and the teacher stepped out of the room, Obie was once more acusted as the girl came up to her backed by most of the class. "Who would have thought the school nerd...no the school nobody would actually catch the eye..." but the girl sniggered and rephrased her words. "Oh wait he can't see how ugly you are. Its a good thing too cause he'd drop you like a rotten egg. You know he's just using you...he'll probably get bored and find someone else to play with." The girl was obviously jealous despite Nato's sleeping around.

Nato promptly walked into the classroom after Obsidian had made her escape. He had been on his way back to the dorms when he heard the commotion and ducked down a hall before Obsidian could see him.

The class all seemed to stop what they were doing when he entered the room casually, hands in his pocket. He stood looming in the doorway, leaning against the door frame. "For a girl who ******** like a corpse you sure have a lot to say about what I will or will not do." he remained in the doorway pulling out a nail file from his pocket he began to file his well manicured nails.

"Screw you, Thanatos." the girl muttered.

"I believe dear girl I already have...quite thoroughly I might add." He pushed off the door frame and entered the room snagging said girl by the hair. "You do understand you are treading on thin ice by messing with Obsidian, do you not?"

The girl's eyes went wide at his sudden approache but she smirked. "You wouldn't hit me...I'm a girl. And besides you could get expelled."

"Perhaps...but I have other means of punishing you. For one thing you forget you are on the top of that list, that makes you the biggest slut of them all, does it not?" The girl blanched but said nothing, though the class seemed to mutter amongst themselves as the facts stood out.

"Hmm...silent as a mouse just how I like it." he stood to his full height pushing the girl away from him as he began walking out the room. "I wouldn't be so quick to start any trouble where Obsidian is concern, ladies and gents. I have quite the temper when angered, you would do well to remember that." He said upon his exit.

He already knew where to go, the lingering scent of roses pulled him to her as he lost the scent in where else, the garden. "Juvel?" He called out...he sighed wondering if this were a good idea or not. Their being together would cause her more stress then him. Already she was being ridiculed.

He sighed shoving his hand in his pocket as he stood there. "I warned you..." he said softly. "I did not wish for this to occur." He knelt down sniffing at a particularly fragrant rose.

He knew she would be upset, and he did not like it. Things were easier when he wasn't so involved with her but it seemed someone was really out to get him and for whatever reason was beyond him.

He stood again making his way to Obie with a rose in hand. Presenting it to her he wrapped her into a warm hug from behind and did not let go not even if she protested. He kissed her cheek softly. "I am sorry for this Juvel. I will remove myself from your life if you wish." He held her a while longer before removing his arms from around her and starting to walk away. Perhaps this was how it was suppose to be...He had already knew it was not going to last. So much for trying.

"You are going to give up so easily?" He asked suddenly behind her. "I do not understand. I have said I will be with you and at the first sign of distress you turn tail and run?"

He fisted his hand at his side, the familiar voice playing in his head over and over. Hahaha! Silly, Thanatos, did I not tell you...people like you are not meant for love. Look at her there, she runs from you. A cursed life you will live, just except it." He growled angery at the voice in his head.

Turning abruptly he stalked off to the dorms. So be it, there was no need to speak. She had already given up why bother, it was just the same he could continue with his life as it was. Empty...and meaningless.

"Fine!" he shouted back to her whirling around. Althought they were quite a distance away from each other they were within ear shot. "If you want those damn girls to win over us by making your insecurities a reality then go right ahead...wollow in your self pity and heartache. I will take no part of it..." He shouted. He stood their looking into the empty abyss of his blindness. His blank gaze went to the ground his body ridget. He hated it, nothing but emptiness around him. He turned on his heels going back to the dorms. There was nothing to discuss here. She wanted to be left alone, then he would obligue her.
