I think chicks are more into the pilots than the mechs.

Some girls also like pretty boys which helped with Gundam Wing's popularity.

Most girls I know do enjoy mecha anime. Very few actually pursue a mecha fix (other than SD Gundam models which everyone adores).

Maybe gals that dig cute charas will like this one.

One thing I noticed while playing Mechwarrior 4 online, female pilots are vindictive little things, I took one out and never stayed alive long enough to do it again. Then again the first kill was a lucky one, and I dropped armor for ammo, so I guess I had it coming.
