Well...Musicians are just getting hungry for money. stare It seems as though its not about the music anymore. Alright, I'll clear this up for you: The musicians are not the ones hungry. it's the ******** labels. They're the ones that profit from the record sales, as well as the blood sucking producers. Now I'll admit that there are some musicians out there that focus on the money more than anything, but they don't make it on tabliture sales.
The real money is made in Endorsements and Shows; Like, the band will typically walk out of a stadium/arena/venue with 80% of the ticket sales profit going to them. They have to pay their producers, techies and all that too, but if you can imagine a sold out show with about 40,000 people, at even 40$ a ticket. That's 1.6 million. 80% of that is $1.28 million. The Artist gets their share.
