Midnight smiled. "I speak of Afdan, He's a gigantic Dragon who lives at our part of the oasis. He's feet are always so bloody because he digs so much in the sand, But he had wings And not just any wings! Wings that could carry you and I as far as we wanted to go if they were as big as his. We could..." she paused "We could fly to the moon and back!" Of course she was thinking the whole time of how she could ever convince a dragon she's never talked to, into flying a new friend of hers around? She'd have to bribe hin...

For a moment, the exotically colored StarFox's good eye glittered brightly with the thought of flight, then he dipped his head and sort of laughed. No, he would rather not fly if he could not do so under his own power - it just was not the same; and he said as much. "...Thank you, Vixen Midnight...but I think that I will pass." He fluffed up a little; certainly he could appreciate what she had tried to do for him - flight to the moon and back! - but Bezei was a rather proud, if strange Fox. "I will fly under my own power someday, or I will remain earthbound."

She stopped and looked. She was somewhat relieved she wouldn't have to talk to that big scary Afdan. "I understand." She nodded to him. "Could we really even go to the moon? It's so big, it can't be that far can it? I've never really tried to fly that far. Or high." She nipped a little as his fluffed up fur. "I will find a way to make you fly. I will I just have to...." She thoght "I know!" SHe jumped up a little and then clung back to him. "We have to see Dr. Feline, She'll be able to do something. I will give you my wings if I have to, I want you to fly."

He cocked his head again, thinking deeply about what this dark colored little vixen had said; it was another solution - and one that appealed greatly to him. Not taking Midnight Light's wings for himself, but speaking to a "doctor" about wings...that appealed to him very much.
"I should like to see this doctor..." Bezei rolled the "r", making it almost a purring sound; one of his paws steadied the vixen without him even thinking about it; automatically he kept her steady on his perch, tail flicking in a very pleased manner. "Careful, little Vixen, I would hate to have you come to harm from falling..."

She smiled as he steadied her. "Yes, I think we shall see Dr. Feline" She purred. She would more than willingly give up her wings to him, he would be more deserving then she, and use them better. Besides, she could still bear little winged children... Not that she wanted children, did she? She looked down as to tring to figure out a way to safely escape the tree. "How do we get down?" She didn't want to use her wings in front of this male, considering how much he wanted to fly. But she was also somewhat interested in learning how to get down on her own.

It wasn't her wings he was interested in, but a set of his own - if they went to this Feline person and that was the only option, he would likely refuse. No sense in grounding someone able to fly already! Of course, he likely didn't understand her fears when it came to flying, since that was his strongest wish...but also, along a different vein of thought, her wings were lovely on her.
"The same way we came up, Vixen Midnight, the same way." His enigmatic response was delivered with a bit of a smile, his muzzle parting to flash his small white teeth. Bezei usually just bear-hugged the trees to get down, and he demonstrated this, his silky body sliding down the tree paws first, claws digging into the bark and sinking in to hold his weight. "You might wish to do this tail-first...I did when I started. It was...easier."

"The same way we came up?" A small fear arouse in her voice. "Okay That's simple enough" She watched him go down nose first... Maybe tail first was a better idea. She slowly turned to ut her hind towards him and the ground and slowly made her way down one paw, then the next. Gripping. She thought to herself, Well this isn't so bad! Until she looked down to see how further she had to go. Then she became very scared. So scared she let go and was hanging on with one single little foot. "EEEP!" She let out a small cry and fluttered her wings as she let go and game to a not so graceful tumbleing stop. "How was that?" She said hopefully as the male would disregard her little stumble.

His ears flicked back and forth from his "perch" on the trunk of the tree; he heard her fear carry through her voice, and did wonder how such a timid thing could be so plucky. She might have been scared of coming up the tree, or going down, but she was doing it, regardless. That was impressive. At least, in his mind.
"Careful, little Vixen. The drop is a long one..." Bezei didn't bother making a big deal out of her stumble, he saw no point to do so. As long as she was safely on the ground, unharmed, that was fine. He'd been much less graceful himself the first dozen or so times - after all, he had lost an eye doing this. He slid/clawed his way down the tree until the halfway point, then leapt down to join her; he was light on his feet and it would be obvious that this was an action he'd taken many a time.
"Now, where to, Vixen Midnight?"
