I've been searching the web just for random stuff about Japan, the schools, the teachers, the students, etc. Just a while ago, I happen upon this website of a Japanese Middle School teacher who is from America. His experiences that he posts in his editorials section are hilarious. They're about his students that he teaches, his co-workers, and things he learns things about Japan that we would never ever dream would happen there. And needless to say, it really is a life-changing experience for him.
But one of his entries really caught my eye. It's about one of his better students. While in a tough situation, he said that he was turning cold-hearted and was not even going to try to be nice to anyone anymore. And then along comes this sweet, quiet, little girl named Moeko that has been so nice to him, but he never really though of it as a big impact. But after this event, let's just say he won't be forgetting it anytime soon.
It's a really sad but sweet entry. If anyone would like to read about it, if it would be okay with Freakezette, I will add the link to the bottom of this post. I know that this may not seem like something that is an appropriate topic for a Japanese Student Guild, but it really is a touching story. And I would encourage anybody and everybody to just take a few minutes to read it. This article nearly brought me to tears, and I myself will never forget the kindness that Moeko has shown this teacher. It just goes to show you, there are bad apples, but there will always good apples. I hope you all like the story! And if you like, you can share your reactions.
