WHY ARE PEOPLE BOYCOTTING AND PICKETING AT THIS MOVIE? Why are Christians so threatned by entertainment? Before all these books were written "debunking" the Da Vinci Code (might I wonder why this is neccary for Fiction?), I did my own research. Got my information from secular sources; and still proved that the "facts" were just fiction. So why all the hype? It's just fiction, and at the very least, doesn't it get people talking so if you know your history, and you know the book, doesn't this present an opporunity tow witness where there might not have been one? pirate

It's a work of fiction, making it no different from the Lord of the Rings trilogy or the Harry Potter books (but that can be somewhat controversial too). My pastor actually spoke for a few minutes today about the Da Vinci Code. He said that because it's making people actually think about Jesus, it's an opportunity to witness. Also, today I read a comment by Dan Brown that said something along the lines of:"If Christianity has withstood millenia of criticism and attack, I'm sure a thriller from New Hamphire won't change anything." Bravo.

I saw the movie not too long ago with my boyfriend. Man oh man I think most of it was just a huge waste of time. I never read the book because I know plenty of people who will tell me what its all about cause I show interest, and I can't read books but can write one forever. Anyway before I get off topic, I think that the movie didn't depict enough of the God damn CONSPIRACIES! They talked about the probability of Jesus and Mary Magdelene (The "prostitute") and that they had a child together. In the documentary I watched it said it was Sarah that was her child. That was only a theory, mine is that she put her and Jesus' child in a river and let him/her float down to have a life of his/her own. But God damn it I said it once and I'll say it again, they got tons of conspiracies that they aren't telling us!

Oh and before I forget, it was more or less another damn thriller movie, I'll have to agree with that fact. Most of it was total fiction, but I know there hiding SOMETHING!

THAT MOVIE AND BOOK ARE EVIL! I am sure God did not have a son or daughter, it is all fake. It would be in the Bible people!

The author of the Davinci code mixed in a small amount of truth with a whole bunch of lies. Same thing with evolution! That's why people believe this stuff- Because they don't know enough about the subject themselves, but they can recognize those small amounts of truth.

Agreed...all Satan needs is just a small bit of truth to spread a bunch of lies. He was deceptive enough to use Old Testament scripture against Jesus in the dessert, so it's really no big surprise he would attempt to distort Biblical truths now... stressed

To me it isn't entertainment but simplly someone trying to recreate the bible. It happens alot actually. If it was just entertainment then people will not take it as seriously as they do now. Honestly whether it's fiction or not alot of people will start seeing something that is diffrent than they are taught and think, "Hey maybe this is right." I mean where in the bible does it require that Priest can't get married in Catholics, I also know a church group that believes batism isn't required by salvation. Now some author decides to start a conspericy theory about how Jesus was married, and people are going for it simply because it's diffrent from what they heard. What's funny is that we can't get offended by his right to freedom of speech, and yet we get in trouble when trying to talk to others about him. Especially if someone has the bad luck to run into a radical atheist.
