(I don't remember the exact stats, so these are guesses at what I had)

weapon: Illumina
shield: Aegis Shield
helm: bard's hat
armour: force armour
relics:
zephyr cape
beads
This works also with Terra, Celes and Edgar, making unhittable members on your team (to think, I never used the paladin shiled either)

Ug! I havn't played in forever but I remeber maxing out sabin's strength in the forest to 255 and if im not mistake I had two Tiger fangs... or was it a tiger and a dragon fang. Either way he always did 9999 so it was kinda pointless to use his bumrush. Even more fun is the sword that does damage based on your hp. Forgot the name, Atma weapon maybe? But if you can keep your HP maxed and equip a offering you get 4 9999 damage hits out of that also. I like to max out Locke's speed Terra's magic and Sabins Strength... or was it Vigor. I must go dig out my SNES sometime. I think Relm was the hardest character to get to LV 99 in the forest, as far as her worth is concerned.

Mog. 255 defence and 255 attack. Gotta love taking only 1 damage and dishing out 4 or 5000 biggrin Can't remember totally how I did that though... but I sent him into Kefka's tower alone sometimes blaugh
