Has anyone read the Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi

I've read the English verson. I liked it, being a Martial Arts i found it to be a graet read. Its about the strategy of sword fighting. Its been a while since i've read it. But if you want to talk about i will.

I've been reading through it. Sadly, I haven't finished more than one of the actual books; I just got distracted by the intro talking about Miyamoto Musashi.

I'd also recommend Sun Tzu's Art of War. . . to anyone and everyone.

Back on topic though, Book of 5 rings is interesting, I should probably finish reading it.

i have not gotten around to reading the book yet but i do plan too. i am currently practicing the martial art wing chun and i am very interested in other martial arts, both to compare to mine and also to improve on my style of fighting. do you practice a martial art, if you do which one?

ahh yeah i know how surgery can slow things down. my brother, who i practice with, recently broke his leg really bad and had to get surgery so he couldn't practice for a while but he is back now and better than ever. but it also helps because we don't practice in a conventional school my sifu (teacher) only has about three students, and we all go over his house and learn in his basement and it is a very family oriented atmosphere. i have practiced other martial arts in a dojo atmosphere, and i enjoy the more comfortable relaxed atmosphere. so if anyone gets the chance to learn in a house hold atmosphere i suggest you take the opportunity because you really get close with your teacher and his family which make for a more enjoyable experience
