He was a dutch painter in the baroque artistic era, basically around the time of rembrandt. What makes him so different is that he added humor and real life situations of that time to his paintings. unlike his contemporaries who were more serious. If you don't know about him google him and you won't be dissappointed.

His work is more about allegory, staged and composed carefully, like Rockwell is to our century.

I read it somewhere his work was about biblical allegories like greed etc. Thanks for the feedback....
