Chanti made her way through the interconnecting alleyways, doing her job, although she hardly pressed to be paid. How much her life had changed since she came here. She didn't really know if she was happy or not now, she just knew things were different.

She was cutting through the main strip on her way to catch up with Ultima. She'd gotten skilled enough at making up paymates for Illiana, but she had the strangest feeling that her daughter already had one. Then to her shock she saw- "Chanti!"

"Oh!" she turned back, startled, then calmed down some when she saw it was Pale. She was disguised slightly since gensou cud be dangerous, but all it took was a second look to see it was Pale "Well don't look that shocked, I'm just helping patients."

"Right!" Pale smiled and breathed in relief "I never thought to ask Aes about that, but I suspected he had to delegate- sorry about getting in your way. Hey, where do you live now by the way?" she still remebered the fiasco with Quin.

Chanti did to, but knew Pale wasn't going to like what she had to say "I set myself up with the people in New Xhen- please, don't say anything." she added before she could see Pale's reaction.

What? All she had to do was ask and Pale would have set her up in Kusakabe Way. What was all this crap? Oh well, none of her buisness even if she was head. "Look Chanti, now that I've got you here and you obviously know the alley. I have to ask- is Kiasys here?" she'd suspected it for a few weeks now.

It wasn't a good idea, but she wouldn't promise anything "I'm going to let you go now. Just watch out for yourself. I mean it. Aes can be kind of- well, he means well but he cares more for patients than doctors..." she shrugged hopelessly and left to find Ultima.
