"Wow..." Riven turned around in a slow circle, then floated over to touch one of the 'walls'. Yep, definitely tree, and definitely still alive... and definitely the beginnings of a house. It even followed the floorplan they'd decided to copy. "You're amazing," he said, finally, and abruptly scooped Ghlyssa into his arms and kissed her.
Sosiqui raised one eyebrow and elbowed Sundragyn. "What do you think?" she said, quietly. "They good?"

Ghlyssa laughed tiredly and clung. "It's just a start," she protested. "There's a lot more to do. We can't live in it now or the rain would come in and make everything wet."
Sunny laughed quietly. "Yeah. Yeah, I think so."

"I'll drop by the Forge today, then. I'll ask Moorgahaine if he's got anything for magical heat and light and such things. I trust you can guide Glee through the rigors of the clinic, since you experienced them yourself?" Sosiqui whispered conspiratorially.
"I know, but it's a start, and we have a place and you can do it and... I guess all we needed was to get going. Last week we didn't have any of this, and now we have the start of a house and maybe even the start of a family..." It took his breath away, really, when he thought about it. What would Ssala think about all this? Hopefully shi'd approve.
He settled for running one hand through her hair, and then one finger down the long pointed tip of one of her ears.

"I suppose I can be helpful in that regard," Sunny agreed. "When she's all ready to go in. Oh, and Ray's friend said we could borrow his truck, when we need to haul furniture. Did I say that? I can't remember."
Ghlyssa giggled ticklishly and snuggled Riven. She kissed him on the cheek. "It's all really exciting. It's a little scary, but... I get to do it with you, so it'll be okay."

"As long as you're happy," Riven said earnestly. "I think living out here in the trees will be better for you... and we can come and work on the house together. Just tell me when you want me to come, even if I can't do much to help you... I can be here. Right?"
Sosiqui nodded. "It is exciting. They really can move when they get their minds on something... then again, I have known a dear friend who was engaged six days after meeting her husband, and they've been married fourty years... it happens so fast in our time, too. Well, my time, I guess. Fa'e time is even faster..."

"I'd like it if you came out here with me. It's awfully tiring, and I wouldn't want to be alone if I accidentally did too much." Ghlyssa smiled. "I like it when you're with me, for whatever reason."
"Well, at least they've known each other longer than six days," Sunny laughed. "But, yeah. I forgot about how fast Fa'e age, when this was announced."

"So fast they age... but still, if they do what they want to do and become Ancients... they'll be immortal. Gods, or very nearly." Sosiqui shook her head. "I always thought of gods as being further away than that."
She looked up at the trees. "Well. I think I'm goign to head over to Barton and Moorgahaine's... I will see you later. A lot, I'm thinking." She grinned at Sundragyn. "At least the in-laws are nice, huh? Seeya, Bennali." Sosiqui pushed herself away from the treetrunk and skipped over a few rocks in the stream, then headed out.
"Now... I guess we need a baby, right?" Riven grinned. "When?"

"See you," Sunny called after her, grinning.
"Um. Well, we got the house started, so we could do that soon, I guess." Ghlyssa blushed and giggled. "You really have to come with me for that, though."

"Now?" Riven laughed. Their own house beginning, the trees around them approving, their Guardians helping... and not a breath of Chaos in the air.
It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. Why shouldn't it be now, when everything was so amazing? "Do you want to go now?"

"Now?" Ghlyssa blinked. "Well. We could. Why not?" She laughed. "We could go right now and take care of that and then we'd just have to worry about the house!"
Sunny, from her spot at the edge of grove, sputtered uselessly at this.

"Now!" Riven laughed, high on excitement and sheer joy. He scooped Ghlyssa up and whirled her in a circle before setting her down and looking expectantly at Sundragyn. "Where is the place we have to go to buy a baby?"

Sunny silently vowed to herself to deny responsibility of this later, when Sosi found out, if denial became necessary. "It's, er... not too far, I guess. That way." She pointed. "Would you like me to show you the way?"
"That would be really good," Ghlyssa grinned nervously. "Please?"

Riven grinned. "Thank you, Miss Sundragyn." He linked arms with Ghlyssa as they walked (and floated) out of the grove, leaving the beginnings of their home behind.
