[_-About Aidan-_] Name: Aidan Age: around the age of 19 or early twenties Date of Birth: November 8th Likes: Reading, Wasting time, Sleeping, The dark, Fresh air Dislikes: Jerks, A lot of sweets, Alcohol, Smoke History:In the small world of Gaia Aidan is a mysterious young man who had appeared in the Solar Cafe. He appeared to be your everyday demon but in truth he wasn't. He had escaped with a girl named Kyoko, to rescue her from anything that she might have to face, returning her back to another demon named Creek. Creek was a powerful demon who absolutely hated Aidan, and he didn't make it any better. He continuosly mocked Creek, taking advantage of Creek's jealousy. Alas, the cafe closed down and he moved to Kara's newer cafe, the Wandering Blooms, helping out Kara take care of her inn and cafe, as well as her many "children". He wears glasses to cover his blood red eyes, so he atleast seems normal but in truth he really doesn't need them. If you look closely, you'll notice that they are fake

[_-Family-_] This is not really his family, but in ways it is. The many children that live there feel like siblings to him... though he doesn't want to admit it. Treyz: The 'eldest' son, though eldest is a relative term since he is actually six years old and the only one who grows at a normal pace. Cinderella (Cindy): She is a Hououza from the Magic Kingdom, and is the second child. The only girl in her family. Triton: The third child, a Neko Koneko who is considered the baby of the family, though he's quite mature and willing for his age. Wish: An angel Fluffy Cat, she is the oldest pet, and the wisest since her last growth, but she still deals with her mistakes as a teen. Lily Mist: My second Fluffy Cat only she is a fairie. Friendly, playful and perhaps a bit mischievious, Lily is really good at heart. Raven: Raven is my... shoulder demon to lack of a better term. His current status is the result of pissing off some higher demon lord. Trisha: The first Second to enter the household, she's a shy one, but sweet. Mia: A doll brought from a strange dollmaker. Ryu and Feng: Twin Seconds Helen: GEM doll {:Wandering Blooms Inn:} Wandering Blooms is where Aidan lives for the time being.

The 1st day out of the Vase
It was rather a surprise. I wake up in the morning, as always, but something felt different. I turn to my vase and a tiny figure was hovering above it. I rub my eyes in disbelief and take another good look. There, a child with blond hair and crystal blue eyes gazed at me blankly. I couldn't tell what I was feeling, shocked, puzzled, surpirsed or excited.. or maybe all of them. Nt knowing what else to do, I smile and the boy smiles back when I expected him to give me a confused look or maybe scared one, but no he smiled back. A truly pure one, that made me want to welcome him with open arms.

Another Day
Its become harder and harder to fly, maybe because of my lack of practice. I really don't mind but I'm hoping to learn how to soon, I'm just afraid I might end up falling and killing myself. I spend all my days hanging out with Feng and Ryu. The way we met, isn't usually the most normal one. I had simply waked over to the river to get a peek and then a girl pops out kisses me on the cheek! She's is rather impulsive, its sort of scary. Especially when you think about how she's going to learn magic and make herself gain feet. All havoc will break loose and Ryu and I wil be dragged into it. I get in trouble a lot, but its mainly because Feng gets me into it. Makes me wonder how long my life will actually last if I keep this up.

Magically Anemic
The quiet night descended upon the little inn posted out away from the noise, smog and constriction of the city. It came quietly like the newly fallen snow that surrounded it, and despite the calm aura of night it did little to ease Kara’s own worries. These worries came unexpectedly when an old acquaintance of hers stepped back into her life. Aidan, the guardian of Toshiro had come to her because Toshiro was not well. The statement did not cover the full seriousness of the situation at hand. For Toshiro, like many of the Seconds was suffering from what was called by her own children the Sleeping Sickness. A disease if one could call it that, that struck the Second population by making their kind sleep in their vases never coming out. It had caused the landscape to be dotted with vases that did not seem to belong to any Second, and the number of vases seriously out numbered the actual Second population. Not only that, but the sickness stunted the Seconds growth, Toshiro for example was nearly the same age as Feng and Ryu, but he was still a Surprise Second.
An old soul in a young child’s body, like Cindy.
Aidan had thought it was because he was not able to care for the little Surprise Second, after all it made sense. All of the other Seconds that suffered from the sickness were neglected, their guardians had forgotten them. However, it was that first and major quality of the sickness that sent alarm bells off in Kara’s head. Despite the fact it was true Aidan was not so good at looking after Toshi, the man never forgot his Second. As long as the guardian remembered and still cared for the Second, the Second would grow up. Granted it would be like raising one’s self, sort of like what happened to Jaseth and Ayce, but they would grow and age.
The second alarm bell went off when Kara found even in her care Toshiro didn’t become any better. He still slept, but at least not in the coma like state as before, but enough where she feared he might starve. Both she, Donovan and Yukito worked around the clock to try and care for the little boy. They had to wake him and make him drink broth, which he did half awake. It sent the three of them to consult every source they had. Yukito roped Kali into researching in the library with him, and Kara went for her own resources on healing, and Donovan went as far as to take Toshiro to his clan.
Draughts were given, blood tests were done and Toshiro turned out normal in those tests. He had no virus and they were pretty sure at this point it was not the Sleeping Sickness. Seeing as the one main requirement for the sickness had not been met with Toshiro. Finally though, Yukito, Kali and Kara came up with an answer and a cousin of Donovan’s confirmed it.
“He’s magically anemic?” Donovan raised a brow as he stood there in the headmistress’ office along with Kara, Yukito, Kali and his cousin Dai.
Dai shrugged his broad shoulders, it was obvious that the two were related, though how much they were cousins Kara did not know. However he did have resemblance to Donovan, however he was one of the clan doctors. How Donovan managed to drag his cousin out of the office she would never know. She probably didn’t want to know.
“It’s rare,” Dai admitted, “And honestly, it doesn’t normally happen. At least not in humans, the only way it would happen in humans is if a magically blooded human gave up his energy to someone else, then I could see it happening.” Yukito picked up, “The problem is, Seconds are a magical race, we are born from vases and we all have the potential to use magic. It is in our blood to do so.” “However,” Kali then added, “Toshiro seems to lack the ability to generate his own magical reserves. Not only can he probably not cast any spells at this point, but without being able to he cannot grow suddenly and extremely he is always asleep.” “But I thought the lack of magic shouldn’t cause a person to do that,” Donovan murmured, “Magic and normal energy is different right?” “Except…” Dai sighed, “His body is trying to make up for his lack of magic by converting what energy he has into magick energy. Hence he is anemic, my suggestion would be since he lives in a house of a few magic users is to give him the ability to leech off magic from others, and in the future find someone for him to bond with so he can constantly have a supply for his own reserves.”
Dai brushed his long bangs back with a sigh, he had no glasses to clean unlike Donovan in moments of stress. Quite frankly his cousin had the strangest ability to bring odd cases to him.
“The latter will be difficult, because you need someone who can in the end support a full grown adult without being affect themselves. To find someone who holds that kind of quality will be difficult, I would suggest someone close to his age so they can grow with him and become stronger magically because of it, but again you still would have to do quite a bit of searching,” Dai finished. Donovan muttered, “So until then, what now? Draining magic is magic in itself.” “That can I do, to make it natural,” Dai replied, “The nice thing about him being young, it is easy to make something like that natural, it would err…” he coughed, “Involve a rune tattoo probably over his heart, but most wouldn’t see it.”
Kara frowned at that, she knew what tattoos involved, and it bothered her that it would be the case. She didn’t want Toshiro to have to get something like that, not now at his age.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t have a better solution for this,” Dai replied helplessly. “But it wouldn’t help him,” Kara murmured. “No…” Dai hated to admit this, “There simply aren’t enough magic users in your family for it to be comfortable for him and without him really leeching off of someone that would cause harm to the other person. What he’ll really just be doing is taking excess magic energy that the auras give off. You can hold him, and hug him and let him take it from you that way, but unless you put him into a strong magically charged environment he is going to be most likely half awake until you find that person to bond to him.”
Everyone waited on Kara’s word, in the end this was her choice on what to do with Toshiro. As much as Kara hated to admit it, this was the best… no, this was the only choice for Toshiro at the moment.
“Alright,” Kara murmured finally, “But I don’t want him to be awake when he gets that. Tattoos are already unpleasant enough and the fact he has to get it does not help.” “I will arrange it with your mother’s clan,” Dai offered Kara, “They know some good image runes that might even be advantage to him.”
With her leave, he left and Kara felt herself lean against Donovan for support. At least now they knew what was wrong with Toshi. She just hoped that this was the right choice for a boy like him.

New Parents
His fingers lightly touched the tribal looking winged heart that was tattooed on his chest in black ink. Well, perhaps ink was putting it lightly and tattoo was probably putting it very lightly seeing as how it was placed on him. It was more than just some tattoo of black ink, it was to be his lifeline even though it was not the best solution it was the best at the current moment. It was the thing that would allow him to feed off (which made him sound like a vampire) of the magic of other people. Recalling how he had come to receive such an unusual marking he looked up at the people involved, specifically he looked at the two that were to be his ‘parents’. What an odd way of thinking of it, he went from having his guardian to having these two people who were parents of some of his closest friends, parents now of him.
At least… he thought that is what they were supposed to be, but it was too weird to call them his mother and his father. After all these were the parents of Feng and Ryu, the mertwins he always hung around and the grandparents of Miyu the shy little Second he had first met.
Yea, it was weird, and he wasn’t going to deny that.
It was even weirder when he realized that the Winters family had grown to a frighteningly large amount since he had checked. As Miyu proved, some of the Seconds had their own children, and his ‘mother’ had adopted two more children after Feng and Ryu. Which didn’t seem so bad until you added in all the non-Second siblings and their children… His new sister Elnara especially worried him as she was slowly matching Kara in the number of children, she had eight… he thought. He wasn’t so sure anymore if she had eight or more.
There were just simply a lot of children, it was scary and he wondered how everyone fit into the inn, the inn though to be fair was huge. Still, he had to wonder a bit every once in a while, with all of these was all adopted children (minus of course Wataru and Miyu) who many more children there would be once there were more blood children. After all Kara and Donovan were still young, they could still have children with each other.
That was a scary thought.
Toshiro felt warm soft hands surround him as he was picked up and cuddled against a soft chest. His position was that of a newborn babe, which on one sense felt good. It made him sleepy, but on the other sense he wished she wouldn’t baby him so.
Unfortunately for Toshiro, he wasn’t aware exactly how motherly Kara could get.

The Bond There had been a lot of arguing, a lot of debating and more headaches than deemed healthy before someone was chosen to bond with Toshiro. Part of the problem had stemmed from the fact there were not as many ‘young’ children in the Winters family anymore, and even very little among the Second You children. In retrospect, they should have realized the answer to their solution a long time ago. At least they had found their solution before she became any older.
Which was why Toshiro (Winters) now sat after the fact across from his niece Miyu Winters, the daughter of his elder brother Yue Winters. Miyu, was the product of a Seconds mating rather than an adoption, or at least the closest a Second could get to mating. Seconds didn’t actually mate in the conventional sense, in fact they could remain very celibate if they wished and still have children. It sort of begged the question whether or not Seconds were biologically capable of having children; unfortunately her parents weren’t going to be the ones to answer that question. Since both of her parents were very much male.
The white haired, pale eyed girl looked back at him unsure of what they were to do now. They were bonded, did this mean they just went on with their lives? The work had been done by her father and uncle, Toshiro now fed off of her energy, though Yuki had mentioned it might open up to interesting skills on both their parts. Whatever that might be, Toshiro personally didn’t care what it could be. He felt as he owed Miyu to get to know her better, and to be with her. She was giving him her magic, at her cost, he would have to give something in return. Maybe be her companion, or maybe help her, protect her, or at least be there to make sure her brother didn’t corrupt her too much.
He sort of pitied her in that way, she was the only girl in her immediate family, she had brothers and no sisters, her mother was male technically speaking and her father was also male. It didn’t help her twin Wataru he had learnt had a thing for yaoi (of the adult kind), which really had to twist her way of thinking. Poor girl, coming from a race where one didn’t need to do the deed to get the kid, must think only guys do that sort of thing or something. The thought made him mentally cringe, as her uncle he was so making sure she didn’t get some odd ideas because of her brother.
“I guess…” he finally spoke up, “This means we’ll be hanging around each other a lot more than usual.” “You… think so? Would it not work if we were away from each other a lot?” Toshi thought about this, “It would work, but I think we could use this new bond to help with our magic, don’t you?”
Realization dawned on Miyu that there was a great deal open to them, even though Toshiro didn’t have the magical strength as she did, he did have wisdom. No matter how cynical that wisdom might be. She smiled and nodded at his statement.
“I think so… too.”
Things… were looking up.

Problems with Seconds
For someone who is a lot like Donovan Dad, I wouldn’t have taken Lin to be an optimist about people. I guess she’s more like the mother of the house than I thought, well you learn something new every day. Such as learning that there is a very violent Second living on a mountain, and if all possible it would be wise to avoid him at all cost. Honestly though, what crawled up his a** butt and died?
Okay, I would admit being chased by kids was probably annoying, but all he had to do was turn around and say. Hey! I don’t like to be chased and I’m not Yami-san, please go away little children… But no… he had to go and yell (scream) at us for intruding on his territory. The last time I checked, there wasn’t a ‘no trespassing’ sign on the base of the mountain, and most normal Seconds don’t chase other Seconds out of their territory. Granted…. I happen to be now related to the majority of the active Seconds, but that’s beside the point! The point is, that is not normal behaviour, though I think the man has issues.
At any rate, because of that creep (and yes despite the fact I have a healthy amount of fear for him, he’s still a creep) Miyu is probably going to end up with nightmares for a week. It doesn’t help that Lin was hurt protecting us, he grabbed her wrist and it looks pretty bruised up. There is no way she’s going to be able to hide that from anyone. In short, s**t stuff is going to hit the fan. -Toshiro

Training with Triton Despite being only a child, Toshiro was actually quite old for a Second You. It was already his second year of living, and if there was anything he had learned in his on and off comatose state was that watching the world around you was just as important as living it. Therefore, even after Toshiro got his strength back, he spent a great deal of his time observing. Mainly he observed the person who had given him that new lease on life; his niece Miyu. Miyu in his mind was a contradiction; she was obviously in his eyes a powerful mage, but she had the temperament of a mouse at times.
Normally he would have something cynical to say about Miyu’s chronic shyness, but he found her to be tolerable company. She never asked anything of him, never minded that he hung around her, and was always trying to be helpful. So when someone questioned Miyu’s own ability to function in the world he couldn’t help but take it… well personally. He wasn’t stupid, he knew that Miyu had to at least grow out of it somewhat otherwise she would always be running, but he would never force her to stop being her. Hell, he would hate it if someone told him to stop being sarcastic or cynical, why should he let someone tell her to stop being shy and sweet?
Days after the meeting he had thought about it, Toshi knew that Miyu was trying to at the very least not run away. Though he hoped (without admitting it to anyone aloud) that she wouldn’t force herself to be someone she was not. Still, he could not deny that if there were more Corrahs in their world, more people who could not understand someone like Miyu, then Miyu’s personality would only hamper her. Unless… she had someone there beside her to help her; someone who could be all those things that would make her un-Miyu like.
He thought about it, he really had to think about this, because he knew in the end it was going to be troublesome for him. Toshiro didn’t like things that were too much trouble; after all he did like to still catch a few winks even though he technically didn’t need them anymore. Until finally one day he sought out one of the people who could help him with this plan of his.
And no it wasn’t Donovan thank you.
Toshiro found his oldest brother taking care of some of the weapons he had. The young angel boy couldn’t help but think it a bit strange, seeing Triton without his son or daughter. One or both neko children were often with him, taking up time and energy, which was one of the odd quirks Toshiro observed about his brother. If his brother was not a neko, he would have sworn he was related to their mother, because Triton had more patience than Toshi deemed healthy for anyone. Yet there Triton was patiently cleaning a sword while Toshiro watched on in interest. This was the reason why he sought Triton out; out of any weapon he was most interested in the sword. Though he knew he was going to have to learn hand to hand as well, Toshiro rather would keep it to one teacher. It was less trouble that way than to have one for bare hand and another for sword.
“Toshiro,” Triton looked up from his work after he realized he was being watched, “How can I help you?”
Triton’s tail swished back and forth curiously, he rarely got to talk to his younger siblings, and the neko found it curious that Toshiro of all people had sought him out. The serious look on Toshiro’s face perhaps should have told Triton that this was an important issue. However Toshiro always looked a bit serious, even though he still had his large eyes and baby face.
“Could you teach me how to fight?” Toshiro asked bluntly.
The tail stop swishing in mid air as the neko man considered what his little brother had asked. Triton blinked once, blinked twice and wondered if he heard right. Yet Toshiro was still standing there, as serious as ever waiting for Triton to give his answer.
“Why…” he couldn’t help asking, “Do you want to learn?” “To help Miyu.”
It was a short simple answer which was typical of Toshiro, even though Triton wouldn’t pretend to understand it. Even though when Triton really thought about it, seeing as Miyu wasn’t one to fight it made a lot of sense. Yet at the same time, Miyu would always have her family to protect her, so why Toshiro decided to make it his mission to help Miyu through fighting Triton didn’t know. Not knowing though, didn’t let Triton to write off Toshiro’s request as nothing. The boy was too old to not take it seriously, and the scary thing about Toshiro was that he was serious with just about everything.
“You could ask Donovan you know,” Triton pointed out.
Donovan was a hard teacher though, strict and always pushed people to the physical (and emotional) edge. Still, he was more experienced than Triton, probably understood better in what Toshiro wanted and to be honest… Triton had a feeling that in a pragmatic way Donovan and Toshiro were two of a kind.
“He doesn’t know sword, and I am not going all the way to someone’s place to learn the sword when here will do.” “There are more experience teachers.” “You maybe two years old,” Toshiro stated, “But let’s face it, between you and me, two is old for us.”
Triton was not going to argue that actually, but if two was old then Celebor technically could teach. Even though he knew quite well that Celebor didn’t want to teach, in fear of not doing it right.
“You do realize I fight, but I do have a non violent way of going about things,” Triton pointed out. “Which is perfect, I want to help Miyu not traumatize her. I don’t need to kill anyone just maim them.”
Just hearing that from Toshiro made Triton very certain that the boy would love Donovan’s company. Unfortunately from the looks of it, Toshiro was not going to take no for an answer… maybe he could arrange lessons along side Miyu with Donovan. Or not… well he’ll let Donovan and Yue sort that one out, until then…
“Alright then, I’ll teach you,” Triton finally agreed.

Catching Up
I figured since I had time (finally) I would write a bit. This seems to be a big deal for my mother so I figured I should. Normally she told me no one wrote in their journal until they were teens, but she thinks I’m a teen anyhow. At least mentally, I guess it’s a bit weird for her knowing how old I am.
Miyu is getting a lot better of this magic thing, and I’m getting better at staff and sword. Even though technically I’m a teen in mind, no one is going to let a kid a sword (honestly what am I going to do, hit someone to death?). Well, I guess as long as we don’t run into anything dangerous a staff will have to do.
I should bribe Dad’s dad Long (honestly who calls a goofball like him dragon?) to let me have a metal staff. At least nothing too dangerous has happened, well except we ran into this one Second by the name of Sylas. Who… may I say is the most socially stunted person ever and to say that about a newly Surprise Second is saying a lot. It’s hard to describe (without sounding completely insulting), but the way he acts seems fake. Granted since he was trying to get our blood I shouldn’t have been too surprised.
I told him he could have just asked.
The kid seemed shocked, I don’t know why Dart asks if he could suck blood, of course now he has Trisha’s blood but that’s beside the point. So I offered mine, Mom freaked out though (I’m magically anemic not physically, a bit of blood loss isn’t going to kill me). Anyhow, back to training for me, maybe I can go the way of my big sister (one guess who) and beat a helpless practice dummy with a stick.

Idiots The next time Raven gets a bright idea, I should just gag him and stuff him into Donova- I mean Dad’s pink box box of doom. Honestly the demon is an idiot at times, even though this time he had a good reason for doing so (kind of makes me wonder what’s in it for him). You see, as it turns out Risky’s parents came to take her homes (I also found out Risky is under aged and expelled from school because she reaped the wrong soul). On top of that Risky is bonded to the school, but she was idiotic enough to bond herself to an insane psychopathic boy. Anyhow, Krys somehow convinced Risky’s all powerful father that Risky could be released if he made a deal with Mom, the person who bonded Risky to the school for safety reasons.
Now for those who might some day read this might know if they know my Mom is that she is so nice and patient it’s unnatural. Not only that, but you wouldn’t really need to bribe her at all, the fact it was Risky’s father all he would have to do is give Mom a few sob tears and she would gladly let Risky go. Well… provided Risky didn’t get herself bonded to anyone ever again that is. That would be as far as a deal ever went, but noo….. Krys had to do more than that. I heard from Raven he told Fern (Risky’s father) that Krys claimed the deal breaker to set Risky free was to offer immortality to Donovan. FYI for those who don’t know…. Mom is immortal, Dad is so not. Or he wasn’t until that moment, now it might seem odd that Mom would accept such an offer seeing as she has scruples, but Mom doesn’t know either does Dad. Krys offered to be the go between the Fern and Mom, because if Fern told Mom, Mom would refuse and let Risky go. This way… the deal is done without Mom realizing Dad is immortal.
As long as he doesn’t get himself killed.
Seeing how old Dad is… and the fact everyone in his family ages fricken well, no one is going to know for at least a decade in a half.
Now this brings me to my part in this, Raven realized that Risky (I assumed because she bitched and moaned about it) didn’t want to return home. So he had me pretend to be Risky’s boyfriend, this way Risky stays and poor Fern doesn’t know about the trick Krys played on him.
And I am not being sarcastic for once when I say poor Fern, Risky is a dolt. A pure dolt who has the intelligence of a rock when it comes to family matters. Even with all my issues of having to call my parents Mom and Dad at least I appreciate what they have done for me! Risky has no idea how much her old man has risked for her happiness and freedom for that matter. Dad, while a good guy and all, is not the poster boy for sainthood, Fern is going to have a lot to answer for, for giving a Lau immortality. If it were me I would leave her high and dry or better yet make her do something demeaning to just get it through her thick skull how lucky she is. Nevermind the fact she dresses like a slut and she’s underage I mean… like eww.
Fern is kind of like Mom in a way, pity Krys wouldn’t want the two near each other lest his secret comes out. I think the two would have a lot to talk over, probably having tea while they’re at it.
You can tell I’m not happy, being her boyfriend was too troublesome and took me away from people who can at least appreciate family. I’m half tempted to make her Miyu’s ‘dog’ so to speak and make her dress in non slutty clothing, but there are also times I think that just won’t be enough.
