Okay I'm deadly afraid of these things, I'd rather get shot pointblank 10 times then screw on my tank. Recently and I mean 10minutes ago I put my tank in my gun and it did not work the same way. It was making a squeeling sound when it was fully screwd in. It would fire correctly but make that squeeling sound(leaking?). Well I unscrewd it and put it in again and my gun started to fire by itself untill the tank ran out of C02.

Now I don't know what is wrong with my gun or my C02 tank. I am thinking it's my tank oring but I can't say that for sure I only started playing recently.

help.

Well if your tank o-ring is looking alittle old or just beat up I would suggest replacing it. CO2 tanks tend to love to go through o-rings.

Now where is the coming from, the top of the valve or the side?? I'm sure if its creating a squeling sond is is most likely leaking some air. Your best bet would be to take it to a local shop or airsmith, if you take it to a local Paintball shop make sure they are experienced airsmiths and have a clue of what they are doing. If your going to mess with your tank yourself make sure all the air is out of it, wouldn't want you getting hurt.

Without being able to see and hear exactly what it is doing it is kinda trial and error style thing.

It doesn't leak air when not in use just when it's screwd into the gun. It looks like my gun started going crazy on my because I was out of C02.

One of my buddies recomended me wrapping a certain kind of tape around the valve and that should solve my problem.

The tank is new. I only used it a couple of times I guess I must have over tighten it neutral

The instruction that came with the tank are of no use. confused

Hmmm... Still alittle puzzled by the problem. Are your threads on your tank damaged??? Your friend is most likely talking about Teflon tape though.

Well if the tank didn't do this when you first got it something must of went wrong but if the tank has been doing this sense day one I'd send it back to where you got it and say its a bad tank. Did you buy the tank from a big retail store such as Wal-Mart??? Their tanks tend to be faulty and don't last that long.

Like I said before it is hard to suggest what to do when I can't physically hear or see the problem.

Threads looks fine. I got my tank from Sports Authority the tanks they sell at my WalMart aren't re-fillable.

Tank worked as should day from day one after on and off use I started noticing the leak. So the tank was unscrewed and rescrewed several times.
