With the 360's, from launch until now, the chances of getting a premium package is greatly higher than getting a core package. Now it's not a great chance to get a 360 still, but that ratio of premiums to cores does hold true
As you are all aware, PS3 is announced to come in $500 and $600 packages (US price, but that is just an example). But I bet you that those $500 version will be very scarce compared to the $600 versions
This is the same problem with the white PSP's. Sony will not release them to the US simply because "loss of sales". For example, if the white PSP was indeed sold the US and a particular store ran out but only black ones, some customers will indeed turn down the sale just because they want white. Indeed this is not what Sony wants.
So I have a grave feeling this same trend is going to happen with the PS3's gonk

I woudl rather get the 60 gig version anyway
the integrated Wireless G will work great with my Linksys wireless router.... and it means I can use my Transflash (With SD adapters) for memory cards (I have two extra 32mb transflash cards)
