Wait, so the gold we donate will be used to buy features for the guild later on? Am I understanding this correctly?

It won't be used to "Buy features for the guild" when the beta comes, the new features will be added for free. I take it to mean that the gold will be used "for the featues".

Like, later on down, it says something about a questing feature, let me check.

Guild captains can chose if they want to charge an entry fee into the guild, which means users will have to pay that amount if they want to be apart of that guild. For the moment it doesn’t have any use, but the guild fund is going to be used in the future when features such as questing come out.

Just letting you all know that ... aside from a few password malfunctions ... the charity is running pretty smoothly. BUT, without your help, we won't be able to continue giving generous donations to all who apply and fit the criteria. Please ... please donate.
