ooc: i know it might be kind of closed looking, but join in anyway, ne?

By the time they got from the house to the obscure little store on foot, the sun had set. Kilayla looked around the place with wide emerald eyes. Theif smiled brightly at the man behind the counter; he was deathly pale, with eyes of a color that Kilayla associated with melting ice. His hair was long and black. He gave a slight smile and nodded to Thief in salutation.

Kilayla walked deeper into the store, which from the outside seemed rather small, but from where she was looked as if it went on forever. "What are we going to get?" she asked Theif, as he followed behind, his tail swishing near to the ground.

"Whatever you want," he replied, curling his tail around his hips as comfortably as he could. The clothing racks were rather close together, and he didn't want to knock things over. "Whatever you want that I can get for you, anyway."

Kilayla giggled. "Oh, yeah. I forgot that you're poor." She wandered over near to some tops in bright colors that seemed to be her size.

Theif felt his face get hot suddenly, and his eyes slid over to the man behind the counter, who was paying them no attention. "Kiki, how many times must I tell you that I'm not poor? I just don't like very many expensive things...and, besides that's not nice to say to people!"

Kiki giggled again, and layed eyes on a bright green shirt with a heart in the middle. She grabbed it, comparing it to the one Theif wore. It wasn't the same, but close. There were no sleeves, and there was a heart in the middle. It was similar enough that Kiki decided she wanted it. She clutched the top to her chest and smiled up at Theif through her still-tousled chestnut hair. "I was only kidding," she said with a smile.
