Eirwyn Flavored with pork fat, huh? Sounds like the UK equivalent of Pork Rinds. (BLAH!) Pork Rinds are gross! Yet they are a popular snack item in the South, at least. I call it a "guy food"--something guys sit around scarfing while watching NASCAR races or US football or basketball or baseball.... A friend of mine says at those times she just throws "orange food" at the guys in her house & leaves them to chomping & yelling & throwing crumbs everywhere. This is stuff like cheese puffs, nacho chips, & yes, pork rinds. Don't you dis my chicharones! If you make pork rinds right they are awesome xd and they go great with refried beans and tortillas!

I don't know, seffy_chan...those may be a different type of pork rind. The ones around here are fried & puffy-looking. (This is the best picture I could find.) Fried Pork Rinds!

Peanut Butter Pie. Also known as nutty butty pie. I'm not sure what my mom makes it out of... but imagine the taste of cheescake + peanutbutter cookies + icecream. :glee:

Foods I like: Beef carpaccio BBQ ribs (smothered in lots of sauce) Buffalo wings (yummy!) Crab "brains" (whatever that stuff you scrape out of the head is) Cheese (bleu, brie) Chicken feet (the kind you get at dim sum restaurants) Chili con carne Curry (various kinds) Fettuchini Alfredo Hamburgers Liver (grilled. Also liked foie gras the one time I had it.) Mango (my favorite fruit) Mangosteen (not a relative of mango) Olives (black, preferably unsalted) Roasted duck (Chinese-style, mainly for the skin) Sausages (Polish and Portuguese) Spam (pan-fried) Spaghetti (smothered in thick red sauce containing ground beef) Sukiyaki (never tried it with the scary raw egg) Tom Kha Gai (spicy coconut milk soup w/ chicken) Unagi
I once had some pig brain soup my aunt cooked up... don't remember if it was any good or not. I steadfastly refuse to try balut, though (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balut). Gross.

Ooh! And blueberry bagels. Dunno why I like those so much, but they're just about the best thing to eat, EVER. That and those salted sheets of seaweed. So... good.

I was supposed to get my tooth work finished today, but it didn't happen. So, I went over to a great big Asian Market in Cary & got me a lovely iced green tea with pearls...a Bubble Tea! heart Also decided since my mouth did not hurt today, I would try some stuff from their big bakery counter. I got a couple of scallion buns, some sort of flaky, pastry-like roll with a chicken-flavored filling, and a peach bun. All were delicious!! heart heart Going to get more scallion buns, for sure!
edit: Here's picture of what goes into my favorite Bubble Tea....

Well, I'm vegetarian, so I like nearly all fruit and veg (with the exception of leeks and swede).
I also love veggie sausage sandwiches (one of which I am eating right now) with loads of ketchup, pasta of any description, cheese, Green and Black's ginger chocolate (or just dark chocolate in general, although Peanut Kitkats are the exception), vegaree (rice, peas and egg), crisps (especially plain), margarita pizza, vegetable chow mein and garlic bread. Oh, and my mum's home made biscuits.
