Bramble was caught in mid-leap as she heard another rustling in the brush, and she caught sight of the two much larger cats approaching. Her eyes went wide and her fur bristled in surprise -- then she realized they were not only larger cats, but Housekitties too! They were wearing the things around their necks that her mother had told her about. Staring in surprise was at first all the little calico could manage to do.
As they dropped the food and spoke with Avani, Bramble caught a whiff of something that smelled delicious. Was it the stuff they had brought to eat... for them? She had never smelled anything like it... curiously, she edged closer.
"H-hi," she squeaked, peering up at Kitty, then at Jasmine. Nervously she looked over her shoulder and back down the dirt road. Her mother would absolutely have a fit if she caught her out here, now...
But she was overwhelmed with curiosity, and she quickly turned her attention back to the new things. "W-what is that?" Bramble gestured to the food pellets with her nose.

The tabby kit was mid step when she heard the familiar voice. Head hung as she let out a sigh before turning around to gaze upon the two toned house kitty, as well as...another housekitty? What in Poison's name was happening?! She was like a housekitty magnet!
Avani took a couple steps towards the two old felines and sat down on her boney rump. The food in the thing Kitty had set down had already long since saturated itself in her nose, but she gave no hint to wanting it. "Her name's Bramble," Avani answered before eyes flew to the right to where the calico was, "it's housekitty food...I've never really liked it." It was true, as young and inexperienced as Avani was, she had tried the stuff before. The taste wasn't what had turned her off of it but it was the texture.
Amber eyes looked back up to Kitty, glancing every now and then to the other housekitty. It took a few minutes for Avani to swallow her pride and realize the good intentions of Kitty. Eyes shifted down towards blonde paws as a small,"thank you," was offered to the older cat.

"Well", Kitty exclaimed, tossing up her chin, "a little late for that now, don't you think? Come, Jasmine, we're not wanted here."
Jasmine's golden eyes flickered from Kitty to the kittens. Her maw curled up in delight. "Why yes, it looks like we're just dealing with.. ungrateful little kits!"
Kitty nodded, grinning toothily. "Let us go home and eat what little food we have left."
With that, Jasmine's legs buckled in and she let out a fit of laughter. She tried to respond, was unable to between giggles.
Kitty rolled her eyes. "It's okay if you don't want it", she said with an innocent smile. "Hey, I'll eat it for you", she laughed, raising her eyebrows at the last word.
