HOORAY!
It's been awhile since i've made up something to rant about.
Now, i read something in the forum that put me into some perspective.
I'm sure you've heard of the askew 12-13 year old teenager and her homicidal goth sweetiepie. And the fact it happened in a town that REALLY isn't that far away from me scares the hell out of me.
Anyways; this girl has completely screwed up her life. She killed her 8 year old brother, mom and dad. And now she's in juvvie in Calgary. The 23-year-old goth is; of course, going to jail for at LEAST 25 years, if not life. And what about the girl?
I've heard she's going to be in for 12 years, but senses tell me she probably won't even spend 3 in it. Why? Because she's a kid.
Now; yes i will agree with you. She's a minor, and jail isn't good for her. SO LET'S JUST LET HER OUT IN A FEW YEARS!
Thats a bunch of crap.
Just because she is younger dosen't make this situation ANY DIFFERENT from my perspective. She did something WRONG, not by the law, but by the way of LIFE. She's obviously got psychological problems, like my nana says, younger children or pre-teens can seem to really GET the grip of what death is.
I still really see no excuse.
She broke the law; she and some freaky goth killed her family. 3 years, as i see it, is not enough punishment. You cannot kill people freely- life don't work that way. Otherwise, i'd probably be dead myself. (Being opinionated and very angsty i've pissed off many people). If she thinks killing is right, whats stopping her from doing it again?
It's like in British Columbia, as i saw. Some 18 year-old intoxicated girl drove in a car, smashed into a man's car and killed him.
She gets her license suspended for 6 months.
Excuse me but, WHAT!? That makes absolutely no sense to me, she probably broke 3 laws right there. And her LICENSE gets suspended? THATS IT!?
GOD, these child sentences are being taken MUCH too lightly.
