i say they are both equally playable depending on the situation. You never know what will happen in a duel so you just hope for the best possible hand you could be given that's all it really is, that's also why it's so fun even when you lose. With Frog you could have a level six or five that could really help in your situation so of course with frogs effect youhave your sacrifice. Also here's a question when does frog get special summoned?
And with Serpent you may need a card liek lightning vortex to help you and so you could activate it without really paying anything which in most peoples opinion would make it better than frog.
Now which do I think is better Frog, because you can use it in tornaments if you were to use Serpent just for free creature destruction mostly than you might as well use Raigeki.Only thing it's really useful for is Magic Jammer to stop a powerful spell.
I agree with how its situational. However, it boils down to which situations are going to be more prominant...So that would also depend on whether your deck ran high level monsters, or if you had many cards which required discard. Seeing as its usually easier to hold cards in your hand than on the feild, I'm still sticking with the serpent
3nodding the serpent also can work in more conditions, with the frog if you have a trap that didnt go of you not getting a frog next turn lol
but still i like the frog better it fits my deck better than serpent i play the control deck with monarchs and dark world silva 2 of each of them <--
then one jinzo and one cyber dragon
so i need the trbuite the frog supplies.
