Kayne was out wandering around the campus, his new hobby now that he wasn't spending every waking moment in the dojo. The day was overcast and a bit cooler than it had been, suiting his current mood. He hated feeling like this all the time. He had always believed that moping and being depressed was such a waste of time. But here he was... unable to pull himself out of his current state of melancholy. Stumbling upon a vacant plot, well hidden by the surrounding buildings, Kayne sat down next to the lone tree nestled in the corner and put only one of his headphone pieces over his ear. Digging in his bag he produced a pack of cigarettes. God bless Japan, he thought. A country built purely on the honor system it was so simply easy to buy cigarettes out of the thousands of vending machines on every corner. Pulling a cigarette and his lighter out, Kayne slipped it between his lips. He had given up smoking when Cirrus had begged him to a few years ago, but couldn't help but have one every now and again. And feeling as he did, now was definitely time to have one again. Flicking the flint on the lighter a small flame erupted and with a skill that should have been long forgotten the cigarette was lit. Taking a long drag, he pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and let a long stream of smoke escape his lips. God how he had needed this.

Pulling his hair back, Kade tied it up real quick, it was still slightly damp from his shower after his run this afternoon. He hadn't had anything else to do, and Cirrus had been off some where else, so he had needed to find something to occupy his time. Looking up at the over cast sky, Kade had enjoyed running in the cool day, and the possibility of rain made him think of Cirrus. He smiled at the thought of her, hoping they would be able to get together soon, he had sent his pop a message, setting up for a meeting when he got in to town.
He let his feet wander and he found himself back at one of his first haunts. Smiling lightly he tapped a ciggarette out of the pack he had carried in his pocket. Pausing a moment at the edge of the courtyard he was about to light it when he noticed he was not alone. The boy looked half dead leaning up against the tree puffing on his own cigeratte. Smiling lightly Kade lit his ciggatertte and walked out into the courtyard.
"Howdy." He wasn't too miffed that some one had stolen his spot, he just pulled up a peice of ground near one of the walls not too far from the bright haired boy.

Kayne was pulled out of his reverie when he noticed he wasn't alone. He watched as the tall, dark haired boy approached him and sat down not too far away. At his greeting, Kayne gave him a small smile and nod.
"Hey," he said, bringing his cigarette back up to his lips. He took a slow drag as his keen eyes took in this new person. He liked the laid back attitude he projected and having been the one to initiate the greeting, Kayne was rather happy to figure out that he most likely wasn't one of the many shy persons he kept running into. At the end of this train of thought, he let the pale smoke trail liesurely out from between his lips and his smile warmed a bit.
"Lovely day," he said, his smile turning sardonic as he turned his silver eyes up to the overcast sky. So it was a cliche line. He really didn't care much at the moment. "I'm Kayne," he said reaching out his hand for him to shake.
