it's true and thank you.. but actually, chi is chinese, ki is japanese, and qi is like.. tibetan or taiwan or something.. I'm not sure sweatdrop that's the diffrence pronunciations 3nodding there's also chara, and chi and ki... there are two basic energies, when combined these two energies create a new energy, but alone they're pretty much nothing.. which then is physical matter, ki, chara, psi, mana and so on 3nodding

I think it is more a matter of perspective or philosophy. I have a stepbrother who is very deeply involved with Eastern Mysticism. He has practiced martial arts since he was seven, I believe. He is about 22-23 now... so he has a lot of experience. His mentor, Dexter, is very experienced with chi manipulation. I don't agree with my brother's philosophy of aggression, but I respect it. He tends to get into fights a lot, but it's not because he's a show-off or anything, he just has a temper and people in our area tend to be very close-minded and ...mundane. He is Christian, actually, well mostly... I'm not sure if he is this week, but he usually tends towards Christianity. Anyway, he supplements his faith with what he knows about chi and the supernatural. He sees spirits, like I do, and they have even haunted his dreams. So his ability to manipulate energy is now a must, if that was the reason why they started bothering him or even if they were doing it before he knew about chi. In any case, we both are channelers and we recognise that we don't have the same philosophy about energy manipulation, but it is still the same thing, just a different technique. Very much like art.

Hi. Nice to meet you all.
I have a bit of experience in this particular subject, so I'd thought I share.
Energy has lots of different names. Each country has its own term. But its all the same energy. Remember that.
Your post on Chakras is correct, though they aren't exactly "pools". They are more like vortexs.
They spin constantly, attracting surrounding energy and absorbing it into them. Chakras are connected to your nervous system, and are the very things that provide the energy for it as well as your organs.
The more you stimulate (exercise) your chakras, the bigger and wider they'll grow, meaning the more energy they will intake. All the more better for you, having all that extra energy you'll feel like superman xd
ambrose_sallia,
The reason some sites have talk about only 3 chakras is because they are refering to the "storage" chakras in your body.
I know its confusing...but bare with me. The chakram system is one of the most complex systems in the world today.
There are nearly over 300+ Charkas in the human body.
They are 7 "primary" chakras and the rest are considered to be minor.
However, there are 3 secondary "storage" Charkas that store energy into your body.
There is the:
1) Psychic Energy Chakra 2) Emotional Energy Charka 3) Raw Physical Energy Chakra.
Keep in mind, although I said before that there is only one type of energy, that doesn't mean that energy taken into the body cannot be refined into a more different type.
All energy comes from the same source, so is basically the same thing.
I know your even more confused now. "Don't all chakras store energy?"
The simple answer...not really.
The 7 main chakras which several of the others have posted merely act as energy "centers". They absorb energy, but do not actually store it, as it is transfered to your nervous system and the rest of your energy body.
Your energy body is the structure that holds all of your chakras and energy and is intregral to your physical body.
Oh. And another thing "psychic" energy is more of a technical term now a days. It invovles the energy of the brain and nervous system, and I just told you how the nervous system is connected to your chakras. The people who came up with psi are kind of more pratical that spiritual, so that came up with "reasonable" explanations for energy, ignoring some parts that seemed "illogical".
Never get like that. Always keep an open mind.

I have a question for you, and it seems like I'm asking the right people so here I go. ^_^
Is it possible to have a special connection with mother earth and the four elements?
I've been throwing this around for a couple years now, trying to figure out alot of things. I have many theroies on many things but I'm not sure they are correct.
this question, i've tried to answer with a theroy but it always came around full circle to blow up in my face.
I could really use a second mind in this please.
