The child's confusion was natural, and her niece wasn't quite helping, thus the seraph turned to aim a pointed look towards the pink kit whom merely tilted her head slightly, but offered no more input. Taking a few moments to recollect her thoughts, she lowered her head, her tongue coming out to groom the top of Kali's head as she spoke, "I'll try to explain; you see... for a child to be born there usually has to be a mommy and a daddy to make this happen. Their love creates a child, or several; their kits, and they become their parents, however..." another pause to groom the base of her ear before she went on, "It sometimes happens that kits are born under ... strange circumstances," she was referring to what she'd seen in the forest the night Lacia had died of course.
The fact three bundles had been .... simply 'generated' whence the lightning had struck the guardian's body. She couldn't begin to explain that, nor could she really understand why she felt Kali was also part of that litter, but she did anyhow, "These bundles are at times accidentally left alone, like yours, and when the kit comes out, it has no parents to look after it... other times, other feli find these bundles and take them in, offer to be their new parents."
It was as far as she could go without touching slightly more delicate topics, like death, "From what little I gather I think your bundle was alone when you came out, but don't worry, I'm sure Miko would take you in, and if you rather me, I can take you in too; I'm sure you'd feel better around Jamais..."
Having remained silent during the whole explanation, 'Shee allowed her ear to twitch slightly, a frown signalling the fact she was thinking deeply about something or other, "Can I go too?" she didn't want to part from the other kit's side. Not yet; something about her made her feel all warm inside, and though it was no doubt linked to the fact her 'radar' was off scale still, Banshee had come to adore the lithe kit's personality and sweetness, even after such a short span of time.
Besides, it wasn't like she couldn't come too, for after all, Aithne was sort of her aunt. Yup, "I wanna go with Kali."

Well, that... sort of... made sense. "So... Jamais also no real parents? Like me?"
Kali was torn. She liked this bright Feli a lot; she was patient and explained a lot of things... but on the other hand, she wanted to meet Banshee's mother-father, too. "May I only pick one?" Looking between the two, she sighed, pondered and eventually decided that, since Banshee seemed excited to go off with the phoenix, she ought to also.
"...are you sure you wouldn't mind? You're not too busy?" The look she offered Aithne was utterly pathetic, like a puppy that had just been kicked.

"Right," a nod was offered at the kit as Aithne smiled, "Jamais was born due to... strange circumstances," tell truth, the seraph simply didn't feel quite strong enough to tell the kits something along the lines of 'Jamais was born when a lightning struck and killed the winter Guardian'; even she'd had trouble trying to assimilate said fact after all, and it'd do no good to confuse the kits further.
Busy? Well, not really.
Aithne'd never been truly busy, for it was only mostly Kalapi whom seemed intent on trailing either after her or her father, the other four kits being quite independent. Except Long, whom lingered around his father a bit too much, but really, the seraph had already worked out he did it to annoy the guardian and get a few giggles out of it, "Of course not, dear, but I don't wish to rush you, you have time to ponder your choice," a pause as she turned to look at Shee, "Didn't you want her to meet your Daddy, Banshee? You should take her to do so... I think he's currently haunting the Conservatory," giving Kali one last nuzzle, she purred softly, "I'll be around the porch if you need me, dears, okay? Have fun exploring." and this said, she trotted out of the room.
Needless to say no sooner had the phoenix gone that Shee jumped to her feet, prancing slightly around the young guardian, "I know where the Conservatory is! I can take you there!" a nod followed the statement as she offered her friend her tail, "It's pretty; it has plants, and looks like the forest, except it's not dangerous or scary! Daddy likes it there," waggling her tail before the other kit's face before she slowly padded towards the kitchen door, Shee took the opportunity to lean and look out, her paw pointing to the entrance of another room that lay just beyond the hallway, a couple of plant leaves peeking out, "That's the place! Come!" and this said, she skipped off and entered the room, plants looming over her till the practically hid her form in shadows, even despite her pelt being a brilliant pink in color.
