Assamites are some of the most effiecient killers around. Tracing their origins the Middle East, this clan is very quiet and brutal in their art of assassination. Their clan discipline (or one of them), Quietus, is an example of this art. With it, the Assamite can turn his/her blood into poison, acid, etc.. Always fun stuff.

According to Assamite scholars, in the first city of En'esh (Enoch to most) Khayyin (Caine) sired five children who would come to be known as the Second Generation in later times. His first two childer were the King and Queen of The First City.

Haquim, the first Assamite, was from the En'esh. and a great and noble warrior. He saw Khayyin the wanderer come and mpose his will over the king and queen. Knowing of the evil Khayyin would surely cause, Haquim found where the king and queen were one day (for Khayyin was too well hidden) and bringing his closest soldiers, destroyed them both, decapitating them and catching their blood in a goblet. After the battle, Haquim slit his own throat, but before he died, he drank of the blood from the former king and queen and forced himself into unlife.

Khayyin awoke to find his childer dead, and Haquim to blame. Out of anger, Khayyin battled with Haquim well into night, up to the rising of the sun. Haquim was still young to the blood to this point, and weaked from his change which happened merely hours before, and was defeated by the wanderer. The soldiers Haquim had with him collected his blood drained body and fed him, and also of blood left over from the king and queen. They veiled his body and shut it tight in a casket and fled to the mountians where they established Alamut. From there, Haquim mastered the blood, started a brood of his own, and declared war on the get of Khayyin.

This is a stroy Assamite tell of their origin. I adapted this story out of Clanbook Assamite, the Revised Edition (Copyright 1995). As with several other clans, i know a good deal, so if anyone needs help creating an Assamite character, I'm more than happy to help.

Well, the interesting thing about the Assamites is that hey have a caste system, similar to the Salubri of old. however, they have three castes: Warriors, Viziers and Sorcerors. Sorcerors, as you might think, have Thaumaturgy, but unlike the Tremere, they have paths inherent to their own lood and origin, just as the Tzimisce Koldun do. However, that is a tale for another time.

I know one of these Childer; while their presnece is eeire and their detrest for the Tremere a set-back to relations they do get the job done now don't they?

They do get the job done, and their hatred of the Tremere fits well with so many other clans those usurpers of the blood have wronged.

I've gotta say: these guys are pretty creppy. They are good at what they do which makes them even scarier.
