"Wise? Ah am? Feh, wise is in the eye of the beholder Ah suppose. Mah parents don' treat meh like Ah am." The small female let out a long yawn and she looked up at him with golden eyes and a smile. "Fightin's not the only thing tha' you can do to keep yo'rself occupied though. Fightin' doesn' need ta be one o' them." She shook her head slowly and rolled her eyes at the very thought.
You shouldn't be so opposed to it. You'll be that way one day.
Stupid voices. They had just come back. Ugh.
"Yo're welcome. An' no, no yo' won' be on the menu tomorrow night. Yo're too paranoid." the little cub waved her paw at him playfully, attempting to dissolve the tension with that same wave.
Khepri raised a thin and pretty eyebrow at the older and much larger lion. "Yo' speak of Nuri and Chomo like they're yo'r parents. Yet yo' smell like yo're afraid o' somethin' else." She stared at him for a long moment before shrugging and going back to the licking of her still bleeding wounds. Beneath her small belly a small puddle of blood appeared slowly and she sighed.

"You may not now, but when you get older you'll be." He commented, nodded slightly. "Fighting is in my blood. I have parents with equally tempers. And my disfunctional family, you can't go a day trying to be nice without someone else trying to dig their claws in your throat." He shrugged, stretching the truth just an itsy bit.
He seemed to chuckle at her next comment. "I don't think I would taste to good. I'd probably give you guys indigestion or something," He joked.
"Nuri and Chomo are the only lions I have fully respected in my life. They treat me the way parents should treat kids~ And for that I am thankful. Though, the price to stay here could cost me my life, but for now, it just leaves these marred scars." He pointed to his face which held the long scar, as well as his back.
"Come on, let's get you home or cleaned up. You'll die of blood loss by the end of tonight."

"Fightin's in yo' blood eh? Well, Ah don' know if it's in mah blood, but if yo' say so. Ah suppose." She shook her head. "Jus' cuz it's in mah blood doesn' mean Ah gotta fight though." Khepri said slowly, her eyes focused on something that wasn't there, irritated by how the voices thought she should fight and now this lion.
Not fair is it?
Why that was the only good voice? Shaking her head, Khepri looked up at Denahi for a long moment before smiling agian.
"Well, in troubled times, yo' tend to find relief in the strangest places. If they treat yo' well then Ah guess Ah can' worry 'bout yo' then." She said before using her paws to push herself back to her feet. "Ah won' die. Ah can' die. Then yo'd really be in trouble wouldn' yo'?"

"It's in your pride's blood. Whether you choose to be part of it or not, I'm not sure how it'll work.
"I don't need a little squirt like you worrying about me," A large paw came to thwap the female slightly. "I'm old enough to take care of myself, thank you very much." He grinned, acting as a little cub himself. He shook his head, "I would, unfortantly," His tone was low. "But if you die, then I could probably blame it on some unlikely event right? Humor the firekin for a bit," He snickered, mostly to himself, raising to his feet. "Come on, I'll take you home." The charcoal male stated, nudging the small cub before him.

"Ah don' need to be part of something that annoys meh. Especially when it's so dumb. If Ah have mah we then Ah won' have to, but yah, we'll see." Khepri said after a moment, her eyes crossed and she sighed gently.
"Well if no one worries abou' yo', then wha' happens when yo're gone?" She raised a thin eyebrow at him and leaned her head to the side. A slight smirk crossed her muzzle at his next statement and she shook her head. "Well, Ah suppose yo' could blame it on circumstance." When she was nudged, Khepri took off at a slight trot before taking off for real. There was a butterfly in the distance that she wanted; white tipped paws streaked over the sand, her darker tail lashing out as she leapt from the ground and pounced on the butterfly with the milky wings. In a second the thing was dead, it didn't take that long after all.
