The HQ was destroyed and the time is desperate. There is someone out there trying to hunt all Legends- not caring if they capture them dead or alive. Chandra and your Legend meet in secret in a pub to discuss action and potential strategies to save young and old Legends alike.
[Age: Teen. Anything else you need to know, ask in OOC brackets, XD.]

(( I suppose I'll start since I'm online and about to go to bed. XD ))
Pulling her dark hood up around her face, Chandra slipped into an alleyway and down a set of rickety wooden steps. The steps were slippery - who knows with what - but she took them quickly. At the bottom, she pulled open an old metal blast door someone had tried to paint red. The paint was peeling, but the door still served its function. The alleyway had been pretty quiet, but with the door open the din of people talking and cups clammering filled the small, dark space.
The sound was shut off abruptly as Chandra moved inside silently. She was supposed to be meeting someone here, so she gave a cursory glance around the room. She was careful not to let her hood slip back and reveal her face. She didn't see them - although it would have been tough to know for sure through all the smoke - so she took an empty table in the corner.
When the buxom waitress stopped by Chandra muttered something about waiting for a friend and the girl flounced away with a frown. One couldn't be too careful and the Legend kept her guard up, watching everyone in the room from under the safe anonymity of her hood.

Iyachtu was slow to arrive that night. The deathly thin and ill-looking young man walked slowly through the streets, moving with the sharp, almost jerky manner of someone who was trying to act relaxed, yet keep his guard up and on the lookout. He was doing a poor job of acting as if nothing were wrong, though- a nervous twitch, a quick snap of his head to look behind him, the constant darting of his orange eyes- they spoke all too clearly that this young man was nervous.
And rightfully so. After all, he was being hunted. Him and the other Legends. It was disgusting, or at last he found it so. To be hunted like animals. Had the world gone mad? It had to. That, or this was some sick and twisted nightmare... though he knew that was only wishful thinking. It was too real to be a dream, too terrible.
So where was he to meet again? Iyachtu frowned, digging a scrap of paper out of his pocket and glancing briefly over it. Ah. Yes. He was to meet Chandra tonight, to discuss what to do. Not only on how to survive this situation, but to rescue others in the process.
To think! Him, helping others? Iyachtu had never been the type whom one would believe the sort to save... well... anyone. He was often too into saving his own hide to even bother with others. If they couldn't make it on their own, then why should they make it? Yet this situation was... different. Much too different. It was genocide, and something about that frightened the scrawny youth into doing actions he'd probably never even consider otherwise.
Upon finding the telltale shoddily-painted door, Iyachtu quickly descended the steps, wrinkling his nose at the smell of the place. Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers, and it wasn't like they had a nice selection of meeting spots. So best get it over with.
Pushing open the door, he was momentarily taken aback by the sheet of smoke that came over him. Not being gifted with a strong constitution (or tolerance to smoke), Iyachtu had to lean on the door for support at first, coughing heavily. Gods! Didn't these bloody people have any ventilation?!
When at last he managed to get the coughing under control and breathing (somewhat) normally again, Iyachtu slid the door shut, glancing around quickly. People were staring, as they were apt to do after his little coughing fit. Well, toss in the fact that he was heavily bundled up despite the warm weather and that he wasn't a recognized member here and you often got a reason to be stared at.
As he glanced around, his orange gaze fell upon the hooded figure of a female, who looked just as out-of-place as he did here. Ah. That had to be Chandra. He moved quickly towards her, sliding down into the empty seat beside her. And just in time too, for another small coughing fit dame upon him. Goddamn smoke.
"S-sorry I'm late" he managed to gasp out as the coughing fit passed. "Had a hard time finding the place..."
((and that concludes my crappy 3am post. XD time fer bed.))

"That is fine," Chandra said quietly, pitched so only Iyachtu could hear her. She reached up with pale hands to remove her hood, revealing her own pale features and the yellow eyes of a predator. Several of the other patrons of the establishment, if it could even be called that, turned away from the pair - and a couple made superstitious guestures against evil. Of course, the majority of them were too drunk to think anything of it.
"I do not like this place either," she said, putting a cold hand on the other teen's shoulder as he coughed. "It degrades the body. However, we do not stand out here as we would other places."
Of course, her own preference was not to come at all. It was a risk to her own safety without any immediate benefits. She had acquiesced to the idea of meeting with another Legend only because she was tired of hiding.

((ugh, I hate to have to do this, but I must withdraw from the contest. RL is just too crazy for me right now, and I lack the time for RPing. My sincerest apologies.))

((Don't worry about any special exceptions for me. I'd feel guilty if you did that. I'll just manage best I can.))
Iya shook his head, shrugging slightly to remove Chandra's hand from his shoulder. It wasn't anything personal, but he just didn't like.to.be.touched. Especially she was putting her hand on his shoulder as a comforting measure, like he was some weak little child. He hated that.
"I'll be fine," he half snapped, half-rasped. "Besides, we have more imortant things to discuss rather than this place."
Ah yes. More important indeed. Lacing his fingers together, Iya cast yet another furtive glance around before leaning in slightly closer to Chandra, dropping his voice so that only Chandra could hear.
"So... what do we know? And do we have a plan or anything?"
He himself knew little on the current events. Iya had never been... close with anyone. Combine that with the fact that he rarely left his home unless dragged out, and it mostly made sense as to why he knew so little. But now he wanted to get to know the facts, get in the loop. His isolationist approach would do him little good now. He had to act. Rather unwillingly, yes, but it had to be done.

Chandra let her hand be shooken off easily. It irritated her slightly to have what was a rare guesture of companionship from her be so reviled - but she carefully kept her face in a mask of neutrality. She would not touch this one again.
"We know very little." One of Chandra's pale hands shot out and slapped a cockroach on the wall behind her. It died with an unpleasant crunch. She smiled slightly. "There is someone after us Legends, and only one someone, although gathering information on them has been difficult. Any who have met this one face to face have died - and not in a way which has allowed me to find them and question them afterwards."
It was irritating and this time she didn't bother to hide it. How dare this person have a way to silence the Dead! She allowed herself to seethe momentarily before returning to the conversation.
"There is only the beginnings of a plan. If we remain alone, it appears we will be hunted down singly and eliminated until none remain. It is possible, if work in concert, fewer of us will perish. I am here to ascertain whether you would be in favor of joining such a group effort."
