My grandma and grandpa are coming to visit tomarrow! Just a couple problems-
1. They are strict catholics
2. They don't know I'm pagan.

I kinda know how you feel. My grandparents and brother and sister-in-law are all coming down in a few days for my brother's graduation. Everyone in my family still thinks I'm Christian, although if you go in my room and if you look hard enough you'll find some things that would lead you to my true religious beliefs, but as far as I know neither of my parents have noticed and they have been in my room recently.
I'm just glad my grandparents are staying in my room while they're here because then I'd have to completely hide everything because they'd flip out on my parents and me. I mean, really, a couple years ago my mamaw flipped out at my mom for the music I listen to so imagine what she'd do if she found out my religious beliefs. Might I add that all of my family are Christians although some not as religious as others.
My brother and sister-in-law will be staying in my room more than likely though so I'll probably just have to hide some of the more obvious things. I haven't decided yet. I'd kinda like my family to know, but I'd really prefer that they find out on their own.

You know, you didn't have to put this in the Chatterbox, this is a real discussion, not spam. 3nodding
But I honestly can't say that I relate, because all the bigots in my family have been disowned by my mom and I, and she has always told me that she doesn't care what I beleive or who I'm with as long as I'm hapapy and not hurting anyone. ^.^

Sounds like my current situation. My mom is Catholic and she says its her duty to raise me up in Catholicism (she says thats what they make you do at babtism is for your parents to promise that). I am forced to go to Catholic church every Sunday. I was forced to do Confirmation (a confirmation of your babtism). My mom knows I dont like church but she doesnt know that I dont like Catholicism all together. I feel like I have to hide everything and I just cant tell her yet. Im planning to tell her at 18 when I dont have to be forced to go to church anymore.
Eriara- maybe you can tell your parents not to tell them or put on an act that you are Catholic. (difficult I know but possibly better than the other events that might happen) Maybe you can just act Christian or something. I understand how difficult that might be but I too have to put an act like that to certain friends and people.

lunaki3 I understand how difficult that might be but I too have to put an act like that to certain friends and people. See, I feel like if your "friends" can't accept your beleifs then they aren't really friends. I personally want nothing to do with anyone who is going to try to convert me, so I tell everyone upfront. Everyone knows I'm Pagan, and the people who don't like it aren't my friends.

I know they are not really quite my friends. Currently I feel like they are using me for my brain and my answers in school. I feel used. oh great another sign of my breakdown....I better think about this later. Oh yeah and I purposely dont tell people because I dont want rumors, horrible reactions, grudges, making fun of me, denoting me, and some people if they knew they would try to burn us all or do some stupid demonic act. *find a happy place* Im going to do my homework
