since the contest has no more entrys I feel I must end it. I will refund the two aplicants their gold. cry stare since we also don't have enough gold to clothe Scarfie she will remain as is.

Ah! I had wondered what Guilds did with the gold!
The workings of a Guild are a mystery to some of us.
Personally, newbie that I am, I've been pondering the whole "mule" thing, even. What is a mule, dare I ask, in my 2-month-old newness? I didn't see anything about it out on the Newbie Guide on the Info Forums. smile

I didn't see anything about it out on the Newbie Guide on the Info Forums. smile Urban Dictionary definition: mule (noun) 1. A carrier of things for someone else; often used to refer to a carrier of illegal drugs, or a video game character who functions as a holding space for items for another character. The reason we set up Scarfy as a guild mule was to have a centralized account where the Crew could do things like handing out prizes for contests and stuff.

You get a mule if you want to store some of your items or if you want another character that is independent from you. I have a Mule for my teddy bear that I've had since I was a baby. I use him for contests of my own devising and to also store some items that I don't want to lose if someone hacked my account. Also I use him to gain more items durring holidays when they give extra items out. Ihave a lot of limited items on him.

I think a few people in Gaia must abuse the mule idea, however...I remember back before the recent expansion in Homes, I was reading a thread somewhere about people wanting more space to open up...and one person said they already had a home in Towns, but they had three mules & wanted to get homes in Towns for all of them! eek
Yet another reason those spaces were gobbled up so fast....
