Tonight and tommorow (monday -> tuesday) is the memorial day for the fallen soldiers of Tzaha"l. Tommorow night is Independance day for Israel, ending on the following the day after that (tuesday -> wensday).
We shall remember those brave soldiers that fought for our land 3nodding . And because of them, we may now say: Happy birthday Isreal!

YAY Israel Day, last YEar we hade a Celebration over here, but guess who missed it because he decided ot go to KFC, yea me.

Woe, how the brave have fallen...  Tommorow we are going to visit gravesites of graduate students from my yeshiva that fell in battle. There was a siren at 20:00 all over isreal uniting everyone to remember what these brave people did for the land of israel and its people.

I remember the siren from when I lived in Israel... it's... one of the most... I don't know the right adjective, but... it's an experience you have to be part of to understand, I think.
I doubt I'll do anything to celebrate. Damn college busyness.

RoseRose I remember the siren from when I lived in Israel... it's... one of the most... I don't know the right adjective, but... it's an experience you have to be part of to understand, I think. I agree, when I hear the siren, it makes all the images of people fighting for my country, the people that fell, the people that are fighting - all of those images flash in front of me...

The siren... holy s**t I'd completely forgotten about... but now that I strain my memory I remember something about a siren... DAMN IT WHY DON'T I REMEMBER MUCH FROM WHEN I LIVED IN ISRAEL crying Anyway, on to more important matters: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISRAEL! blaugh  *runs around in circles wearing her large Israeli flag as a cloak* blaugh Eretz Israel~ heart
