Zurin held his head high as they walked towards the great doors of the central hall. He heard the slight noise of distress from Agnija but ignored it, nodding gracefully at the guards as they passed. They were too well trained to question the stains on his kimono, but Zurin doubted the few house servants they had left would have the same hesitance.
He greeted the head servant with another nod, ignoring the curious glance as he led the gehaka inside. "We will be taking tea in the east parlour." He called back over his shoulder, his tone allowing no room for questioning. He walked sedately through the dark halls, quietly relieved to be out of the sunlight and feeling greatly comforted by the familiar walls.

It almost seemed as if Agnija had forgotten about his humiliation as his ears perked up and his attention turned to everything around him. He had never been in a house so big. He gawked in awe, but then... It looked like too much. Drafty and lonely. He was glad he lived in a small home.
Seeing he was falling behind, the Gehaka picked up the pace, trotting back beside Zurin.

When they reached the east parlour, which was in truth the only parlour and in fact referred to as "the fancy room", Zurin slid open the door and gently eased himself onto a low couch.
Waving a delicate hand to indicate that Agnija should sit on the scattered cushions in front of the couch, Zurin ignored the servant that came in bearing platters of food and tea. To Zurin's dismay, when the servant knelt to deposit his burdens on the polished wooden table, he also laid out hot water and bandages.
Zurin could not believe his bad luck when the servile gehaka began to move aside Zurin's kimono to reveal his pale legs and shredded flesh. They did not receive visitors very often, so it was understandable that the servant didn't comprehend the humiliation he was inflicting on his master, but Zurin was mortified all the same.

The Gehaka took a moment to figure out what Zurin wanted of him and in a few hesitant steps, he settled down on the floor, grabbing a pillow and resting it on his lap.
His stomach growled vulgarly at the smell of hot tea and he scrunched down farther, hoping the Haka hadn't heard. Agnija kept his eyes glued to the floor, trying to ignore what lay beside him.

Wishing desperately that they could afford enough servants to both serve tea and tend to his injuries, Zurin shooed the servant to the side and poured tea for himself. The second he had taken a sip, the annoying servant went back to pressing a steaming cloth against Zurin's knee, causing Zurin to hiss and nearly spill his tea.
Turning his eyes away irritably, he focused on the blue haired gehaka huddled on the floor. Grasping for a way to start the conversation without mentioning his copiously bleeding legs, Zurin latched on to the tea.
"Do go ahead and serve yourself, Bharu. Let it not be said that Wakahisa lets their guests go hungry."

"Uh well..." Agnija lowered his head and pulled at his bangs sheepishly. "... With my luck, I'm afraid I'll break your teapot." The comment might have been humorous if it weren't for the enraged Haka and his fear of being executed.
"But thank you..." Sheesh, he almost forgot his manners, "I'll eat something--" The Gehaka was going to say later, but he wasn't sure there was going to be a later. Finding anything else to occupy his mind besides Zurin bleeding on his left and the food tantilizing him on the right, Agnija noticed the parasol that had gotten them both into this situation. The haka could keep it, he wasn't about to bring that bad luck into his own home.
With his bangs fully pulled over his eyes, the grey boy peeked from under his azure tendrils at the Haka, hoping his injuries weren't severe and neither would his punishment.

Zurin frowned and put his teacup down, was the gehaka of a high enough class that he wasn't accustomed to serving himself? This was a grave miscalculation on Zurin's part, so he quickly grabbed the cloth from the servant and applied pressure to his wounds by himself, freeing up the servant to tend to the grey gehaka.
"We can't have that, Nagare here will see to your tea. It's the least I can offer to repay your kind gestures today." A spark of anger came back into Zurin's eyes, flashing in the dim room.
He turn his eyes to his still bleeding legs, taking care to show the oozing blood to its full gory effect as he dabbed delicately at it. "We should discuss other ways in which our families may repay the debts--" he paused here to hiss loudly as he switched for a new cloth, "--we have both incurred this day."
Zurin cast a quick glance at the eyes peering out under the mop of blue hair, watching for any reaction his theatrics might have caused.
