in one of the sorting hats songs, it says 'they put some brains in me'
i was thinking the other day, what if the brains were the same kind of brains in the department of mysteries.
your thoughts?

That's an interesting thought...and we haven't really learned much about these brains yet, but more than likely, it's probably just a coincidence. I don't know...

It's an interesting thought...but would they really want to put a brain that latches on to your head and makes you go completely mental for a while in a hat that regularly gets placed on children's heads? That seems a bit dangerous. ^^

Nice brainstorm. It could be, or not. I think the brains was just for show in the book, but I could be wrong.
