Today would have been Dale Earnhardt's 55th birthday. It got me wondering...what do you think the sport would be like if he hadn't been killed at the 2001 Daytona 500? Do you think he would still be racing? Have that 8th championship? Or would he be running DEI full time now?

I think that he would have probably got the 8th championship and he would have probably retired after two more seasons, maybe run limited races and all. DEI would be very dominat if he was still around.

If Dale were still around, he would probably kick everyone's butt for another season or two and then retire happy and run DEI full time.
