alloashley i loooveeee sleater kinney (i will marry carrie, if its the last thing i do) but id hardly call them riot grrrl... well they're not that riot grrl... but they did come out with "call the doctor" during that same period of time that riot grrl was becoming really big in the early 90's so i think they sort of got lumped into that category. i love call the doctor.. that album is so awesome.

oh my god, that album is badass. and i realize it came out durring that time, but still, so did uh... what, new kids on the block? was that their time? my point is, i agree.

I wanted to, I live in Portland... it would've actually been their LASTLASTLAST show. but I was with mi madre in Sioux Falls at the time, I came back a mere few days later... my dad woulda gone but he would've felt guilty that I wasn't there. I would've KILLED to go to the show. Worse than killed.
They're on "hiatus," are they not? That's what they all say, I guess. But I'm content living in the same country with them, much less the same city, and if they play again anywhere, there's a good chance it'll be here.
i miss them. ;-;

I can never find there albums for a reasonable price. Curse you HMV!
I was listening to "Good Things" today And it nearly made me cry, granted it doesn't take much now a days, but I was still moved. Its a hard thing to lose a friend, thank god for great music to soften the blow. If only a little.
