On the eve of Beltane (April 30th) the Celts build two large fires,
created from the nine sacred woods, in honor of Summer.
The tribal herds were ritually driven between them, so as
to purify and protect them in the upcoming year. The fires
celebrate the return of life and fruitfulness to the earth.
Burn the old Beltane fires on May eve and purify your self
to join in the celebration of the marriage of our Lord and Lady on
May Day. May day is the season time for lovers, sex, fertility &
Faery magic. The two symbols for Beltane are: The Cauldron which
represents the Lady and the May pole (or candle) which represents the
Lord, use these on your altar to celebrate the union.
