Updates

April 25, 2006: I have decided to make time for my science log, even if i have to fall behind in other areas. My poor charge, whom I have decided to call Rune, has become neglected, and I feel terrible. Dr. Amelia could arrive at any time, and without any progress in my charge... I think she may demote me. I await her return with both exhiliration and fear.

Speciman #04 Information

Weeping Willow

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Characteristics: Weeping Willows have small, pointed leaves that are often paler on the underside than the tops. The branches of the willow tree point down, and are quite light and bendy. Willows flower at varying times in the year, and it is often hard to find out the sex of the tree, as hybrids occur often, and flowering occurs on both.

Location: Willows may be asian in origin, as derived from the genus name of babylonia named for the civilization that popularized the weeping species. Willows thrive near water, in moist ground, and do best in northern temperatures, but can also be found in the tropics.

Size: Willows can reach 40 to 50 feet high and 2 or 3 feet in diamater during its growth.

Growth: Willows are named Salix for their quick growth...

What have I been doing wrong here? Rune has not grown in months!
