i'm not a wiccan, in fact i guess i would say i was a christian. i've heard that it is possible for a christian to be a wiccan, but i don't know. anyways i beleive what i believe and no one can change that but myself! i am interested in wicca because the religion seems to suit my beleifs and morals maybe better than the bible, but mostly because i have a mother and a sister who are interested in wicca and i'm afraid my mother (and possibly my sister) may be interested in it for all the wrong reasons. please do not judge me as i don't judge you. I wanted to join this guild so that i might learn more about the wiccan religion. i care greatly for my mother and sister. i don't really have anything against wiccans or their religion because really i don't know too much about it. i do know that everyone always says harm none and i agree with that. i was thrown into christianity but i don't always believe everything in the bible. my basic belief is to love all (which is sometimes very hard to do) because i beleive that is the will of god. Wicca seems to reflect that. if i am wrong please let me know.

i am here because i think my mother is misguided about being a wiccan, she seems to be a bit vengeful and i know that if she did anything to harm someone even in a small way it will come back to her worse than what she did to another person. i don't want her to convert to christianity or anything unless that's what she wants i just want her to follow the right path. yes, of course i know it's her decision which path she chooses to follow and the same goes for my sister. but if i can do anything to help them i'd be happy that i could at least try.

i don't really beleive in "magic". although i guess spells could be a form of prayer if you think about it. i just read about a girl who did a love spell. and i prayed to god to send a love into my life. it seems like pretty much the same thing to me.

i'm not superstitious cuz i own a black cat and if she's gonna give me bad luck then oh, well.

You don't have to take everything from the bible literally to be Christian, there are lots that do but I think even more that don't. You seem to have found something that makes you happy so I would say stick with it, learning about other religions is great but you don't have to pick up another to find satisfaction in your own. (Also as far as I am aware you can be a new age Christian but I'm not really sure that Wicca blends all that well)

I think that a good way to bring up your concerns with your mother is to ask her what she believes in, ask her about how things she does may come back to haunt her and how she feels about it, ask her if the retribution could harm you or your sister (it can, and this is a pretty low card to play against a mother but you may open her eyes, but only use it if you find that she is trying to enact revnge through her religions) Above all don't seem condemning, ask questions, be open and listen to what she has to say (I don't know your mother she may get irate but if you stay patient more likely than not it will blow over) Show a continual interest and that you care and I'm sure they'll understand.

I think you're coming from the right place on this. 3nodding I hope you find what you're looking for here.
