I did, day it came out. It was great. And if you don't agree, cool, post your opinion, but don't flame. I can't stand when people decide that if someone thinks a movie is good that they didn't like, that person is obviously an idiot and they need to insult them at every chance. (I've seen other message boards start off nice and innocent, and suddenly people decide flaming is fun...I won't tolerate that)
That being said, yes it was a great video game translation. They redid music from the games to use as BG music for the movie, so it FELT like the game. The town was done in incredibly accurate detail. It wasn't meant to be the exact story of the first game, so it's alot easier to enjoy if you remember that.

Silent Hill? I've heard of that movie... Part of it was filmed in my town. I heard it was a horror movie. Is it?

part of it was filmed in your town? heh part of it was filmed in my girlfriend's town, and a great deal more not too far from her.
and yeah, it was horror, it's based off a game series.

I did like the movie, The first half was AMAZING cinematography. The feel was beautiful. and the graphics were great.
Unfortunately, in the second half I felt complete degeneration of the film. It was almost like they changed directors or scriptwriters halfway through.
I was kindof dissapointed that they changed some of the base Ideas of the game series, but as for averaging out, I guess that would make it a good movie ^.^.
