Oh I remember trying that with our albuquerque home and the house I grew up in. I haven't tried it again now that we've moved.. I should!

Shame the pics are so old. The pic that shows up of my house is before we moved in (November 2002) because we put a new roof on (it is now a chocolate color) and there is a hot tub or sumfin in the yard that wasn't there when we moved in... also, if you go East of our house, there is now a subdivision there.

I just looked and I got up as close as I could... couldn't see any of the CR roads but you could see major highways and farm roads. It didn't look like there was any cleared area abouts where we live so I'm thinking those are back before they even put the house here... I did find the little pond behind our house though. I think the pictures are more around the 2001 time frame. But you have to realize... for them to take the satellite images and process them into the webpage and all that technical mumbo jumbo... it takes some time 3nodding But I think the google maps thing is more for entertainment than actual studying whee

How do you go about looking up a satellite image from an address? I couldn't figure it out. I did use maps to find my house though, and then switched over to satellite view, but it didn't let me zoom in very much, and it won't let me zoom in nearly as much if I go further west from here, probably due to national lab security.

just type the address into the search bar 3nodding
i noticed that some areas didn't have the final zoom option, and some areas the pics were taken on a hazy or dull day so you can't see so much, i had a very enjoyable wander around San Francisco though, lovely and sunny there 3nodding

Yay! It found my road pretty easily, but not my home. Maybe because it's a townhouse connected to 5 others.. EDIT- I just looked up the estimate for the house we sold in albuquerque, and it's estimating it to be more than $100k more than we bought/sold it for! All surrounding houses are in about the same range, which isn't right either.
