Me and my friends went out to see it yesterday, and I feel compelled to say that even though it didn't surpass my expectations, it definetly was worth seeing.
The acting wasn't terrible at all, and there was virtually NO OVERKILL ( surprised surprised surprised !!!). And though my friend who played the game got frustrated with it since it left the nuances out ignorance is bliss, and I overall really enjoyed it.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it's a movie about a mother and daughter who go on a trip to a town called Silent Hill. Due to the fact the daughter sleepwalks, when the mother gets into a cer wreck and passes out, when she wakes up, her daughter is no longer there. She, Rose, walks into town in serch of her daughter, and fillowing clues she finds around the place, and gaining companionship from a couple of other people there to find her daughter and return home in one piece.

really? i think i migth go see it now, i was debating on seeing that. yea i didnt' expect much either, but it might be worth myt ime

I'm going to go see it today. I have also played the game but maybe i'll also enjoy the movie version as well.

jupiter4000 I'm going to go see it today. I have also played the game but maybe i'll also enjoy the movie version as well. The movie was pretty good. I liked it even though I had ended up criticizing it, I had enjoyed the movie.

I want to see that, it looks pretty good. I mean just look at how far computer graphics have gone. 3nodding though i do wish that movies could have less CG and more of the good ol' stuff, like you know, acting. xd 3nodding
