"Well." Auren stepped forward slowly, not quite sure what to make of the situation. Katashi seemed much more interested in this than she would have been. They had something to do and the stranger didn't seem too keen on working with other people. The naga looked at the girl steadily, her words flat but and not exactly friendly but not at all threatening either, "Since we're getting acquainted, I'm Auren. You might not have anything to attend to, but we do. The only help we could really get from you right now is information."
The sound of approaching feet reached her ears. It was a change from the hum of traffic and tires on the road. Especially since one of the figures wasn't exactly walking calmly. Auren turned her head a bit to look past the car. She couldn't tell exactly, but the bounding smaller figure was familiar. Details couldn't be picked up too well in the night although the city lights lent some help. Her head lifted a bit up as her attention focused on scent, her dark lips gaping open just barely as the naga breathed a little deeper. It was the dragon child from before. And maybe a vampire it seemed. What were the chances?

Angel registered the presence of several others more slowly than she normally would have done. She chalked it up to her injuries and slowly returned to the dragon child’s side, keeping an eye on the offending parties. “Do you know them?” She asked, wondering at the boy’s fascination with the group. Something odd was going on with them, that was easy to see. However, she would just as soon not get involved in whatever their problem was.
Then again, the dragon boy had just as likely stopped to stare at the car as he had the situation unfolding before them. Who knew what he was thinking? She stared across at the figures, attempting to place their species through actions, accents, mannerisms… All manner of things could give away a creature’s species, and knowing those creature’s weaknesses was just one of the many things she had managed to accomplish over her lifetime.

Yun watched the scene intently before turning his head up to peer at Angel with a grin as she appeared at his side. He hopped towards her leg and wrapped his arms tightly about her shin before turning his eyes once more to peer at the shiny car, feeling much safer for it.

Were they a threat? She wondered as one of the group turned to stare at them. They didn’t immediately attack, which left her with one of several possible scenarios. They knew the child at her side, they were as unsure of their group as Angel was of theirs, or they were debating the most opportune moment to attack.
Angel definitely preferred the former to all the options. In that case, the only question was, were they friends of her charge? Or enemies? She huffed softly. If her companion had the answers, he certainly wasn’t talking. Save the brief clamor he had created following his unexpected shifting, she had hardly heard a peep out of him.
He had returned to soulful looks, tilting of the head, and tail flicks in order to communicate his needs. It was as though he expected her to be a mind reader. She briefly considered detaching him from her leg and demanding a few answers, but eventually rejected that as foolish. He probably wouldn’t respond in any case.

Katashi was aware that Auren's attention had been distracted, but decided that she would worry about whatever else it was. It would be too simple if both of them turned their backs and the half-invisible fae simply flitted away there and then. He still was not entirely sure about her.

Yun peered up at Angel for a long while, a hopeful look in his eyes. His tail gently flicked from side to side as he waited for her to get the message to pick him up. Although she wasn't really concentrating on him, moreso on the collection of odd individuals near the shiny car.
Carefully he detatched himself, spread his wings and proceeded to clamber up her side. His wings flapped to help him gain height and his blunted claws snagged on her clothing, the little dragonboy being particularly careful to not break her skin.
He eventually came to a standstill upon her shoulder, a hand gripping the back of her collar for support whilst his other hand was stretched down to grip the front of her shirt(?) to keep him up there. His feet with their somewhat sharper claws wrapped themselves about her middle, legs keeping him roughly in place. His wings flapped about for a while until he found his balance.
He liked being this high.

Angel flinched slightly as the dragon child clambered aboard her already battered body. He was actually a bit heavier than he appeared, what with the extra weight of his wings. She resisted the impulse to lift him down to the ground once more, being as she was still unsure of what exactly had necessitated his climbing in the first place.
Instead, she hissed out an unsteady breath and lifted a hand to aid in balancing him. Her wounds would heal with time, but she needed blood soon in order to regenerate. With an internal sigh, she forced away the dark need clawing at her and refocused on the issue at hand. It appeared as though only one of the odd individuals had spotted them, though she knew that couldn’t possibly be the case.
The others could be waiting for some kind of signal to attack while she was burdened with the dragon boy. It seemed unlikely though. If they were her enemies, wouldn’t they already know she was injured and have taken full advantage of the situation as soon as possible? She shook her head. Her instincts were telling her that, while dangerous, these people posed no threat to her. Perhaps she could merely move on and hope that their odd staring contest ended here.

Auren looked away after seeing the pair do no more than stop as the dragon boy climbed his way up the female to be held. It wasn't really them they were interested in.
The naga stood waiting now to see what this Jack would say. Depending on the line of work, the fae might have information or she might not be interested at all. If nothing would come of it, they needed to leave before wasting any more time. It wasn't that they had a deadline. Standing on the side of the road just wasn't a very good pastime. Although, Auren mused, nothing with Katashi was ever too amusing unless you could find a way to perhaps mar his clothing perfection. Their working together was a relatively new assignment. That wasn't unusual though. Auren had gotten a reputation for being not entirely reliable for the organization. Her past connections were always a subject of doubt. People always liked to whisper and speculate. If something was important, she almost certainly did well and had a good track record. Otherwise, finding her in between assignments could be pretty much impossible.
Half-glancing down at her shoes for just a moment, her thoughts wandered vaguely to considering if they had gotten any mud on them or not. The weather tonight certainly could have been better. But wherever they found their target, it would mean a controlled climate, dry hair, dry clothes, and most likely free alcohol. Not that one was ever interested in those sorts of things of course.

Jack had paused for a moment, thinking of what she should say. She could've made a few nasty remarks, but decided on a polite,"What would you like to know?". She looked at the dragon boy. She'd seen things like him at revels, but she hadn't killed one before, which meant that she knew little of the creature's species. She was actaully glad to see living creatures that she could speak to. In her line of work, there wasn't much chatting. This of course, she tried desperately to supress. She was a fae and a killer, and she decided that she'd best start acting like one. She tried her best to seem professional, cold, exacting, and indifferent. In her eyes she failed miserably.

"We--" he suddenly stopped, a puzzled look on his face. His eyes widened slightly as his gaze drifted to his left. He had almost missed it under the stench of the vampire, but something... something didn't smell right. He didn't recognise that smell.
No. He did recognise it. He just wished he hadn't. Very slowly, he straightened fully and turned around.
And swallowed hard as he caught sight of the silvery dragonet perched precariously upon the vampire's shoulder. The little beastie was unpredictable, uncontrollable, and -- most of all -- unclean. And he did not want it anywhere near him.

Her gaze did not follow Katashi's reaction as he let his sentence drop. It was the dragon boy. She hadn't thought of it before. What was done was done, right? His small fit with the handkerchief should have tipped her off to the fact that getting near the dragon again would be a bad thing. Everything would be fine if only the vampire could just continue on with the dragon boy in tow. Hopefully the little dragon had let being held by the tail be forgotten.
Watching closely as the small presence before her turned with curiosity to the dragon, the naga caught something. Jack's face did not seem so hard as her words might like her to be. To some that might be a good sign. One could maybe push their will. Auren was one to bet though that someone like Jack, probably not in a normal line of work, would not do well to be pushed. Maybe she had something to hide and maybe she didn't. The naga smiled briefly with a gesture not much more than a sign of neutrality, "We're looking for an old friend. I've fallen out of touch with him unfortunately. I don't know if you would have any news, but it'd help if you did.. Maybe we should talk somewhere other than the side of the road?"

Yun watched a plastic bag bluster about across the road, watching it do loop-di-loops and barrel rolls as if it was an acrobatic or creature of sorts. It neared Angel's foot, envoking a low growl from the small dragonboy. Glaring at it, he clambered up her back some more to lean over her shoulder.
Eventually, with a high-pitched roar, Yun threw himself from the shoulder of the vampire and down onto the pavement in a flurry of wings and material after the plastic bag. He missed, the white creature with strange runes written across it mocking him by rising up in the air and threatening to come at him.
Yun flared his wings and growled again before leaping for it, again and again, each time just missing the bag and sending it further ahead of him. Something lit up the dark tarmac and the bag, but Yun paid it no heed - he was intent on catching the little white beast. He was so intent on it that as something dark and blurred zoomed past, catching the white beast with a deafening blaring noise, Yun went stock still and stared, wide-eyed, at nothing in particular.
