I'm designing my room japoanese style and wanted some comments and ideas. the walls are gonna be cream colored the items in the room are gonna be black with red accents and a low bed with another bed that rolls out under it.

you hould just google search Japanese Interior and it'll come up with all kinds of pictures for you, but don't worry. I have the same dilema.

Futami mats on the floos. they don't have chairs (if you are going for tradtional) they have straw packed mats to kneel on. Also and amazingly hight tec tolite, this is essential!

Think minimal. Color accents are one thing, but the understanding the philosiphy behind their idea of balance and design is key to having an actually Japanese feel to it.
I'm not an expert though.

I would stay away from black, red, blue, etc.
Most Japanese houses have light green, grey or brownish interior walls with light wood accents.
