I liked Jack in the beggining before he was captured by the Others. He went in defiant and strong and came out... ughk! Juliet man slave. Its like putting a cake in the oven for too long, or trapping a wild horse until it submits to a rider. Now he's just a crispy, defeated, husk of his former self that tastes of saw dust, vaugley of chocolate, vaugley of last night's chicken, and topped with undeserved icing. Did that just make sense?

I like Jack. The surviours made him leader, he really didn't want the role in the first place, they they jump on his a** when something goes wrong...

I'm feeling irrational Jack hate whenever he comes up on screen. I liked him at first...I can't say when I started to be annoyed with him. Maybe it was at the end of Season One when he was like "We're going to have a Locke problem." Since then he bugs, especially how he acts towards Locke and Kate with his Kate angst (keep in mind I'm only halfway through Season Two so maybe some of this has changed). I saw this posted on Television Without Pity and it cracked me up: Quote: Jack is a total melodramatic titty baby. And dead to me. xd

I like Jack, but I can see why some people would dislike him. At this point in the series he does seem a little cranky. However, you have to remember he was forced into the position and he's doing his best to do what's best for everyone-- but that sure isn't easy. Sawyer is definitely not up to the task of leader and Locke is just too driven by his whims. If truth be told, I think Hurley would make a good leader for the losties. He's civil towards everyone and I think he could stop a lot of the arguments. He's physically able too, maybe not to the extent of Locke or Sayid, but he did stop Sawyer and Desmond at one point or another. I think he'd have trouble making critical decisions though... Ack. I went on a tangent. Overall, like him or hate him, Jack is probably the best character to be leader.
