She found it hard to breath… forgetting to in fact, as she got lost in his gaze. She never wanted to find her way out, either. It was like his gaze was dragging up every buried emotion for him, and all she wanted to do was relive that night they’d spent together in her room. She felt his hands on her back, wrapped her arms around his shoulders. They leaned in close together, her face tiling up towards his as their lips hovered inches apart. Calli took a slow, deep breath, her gaze locked with his as she felt their bodies lightly touching. Their lips brushed, almost kissing- and then just as quickly as they had fallen into each other’s arms by accident, they were standing apart again. Calli stumbled forward a step as she had been leaning towards him so much, blinking in shock as her breath was suspended for a moment… then she let it out in sigh, her head falling. The weight of loneliness that had briefly lifted from her shoulders while talking and sparing with him came crashing back down, and only for the sake of her image did she not let herself collapse into the sand at the crushing disappointment. But… she knew such a reaction wasn’t right… there was nothing she should have been disappointed about. They weren’t together. That wasn’t going to change. She had never imagined she would be the sort of woman to not only get a man to cheat on his marriage, but to go so far as to try and get him to continue seeing her… it wasn’t right, and she knew that. Even if it caused her such sadness. ”No… Kenshin… its my fault. I’m sorry I dragged this back up.” She whispers in return, looking to him for a moment, seeing how much pain this was causing him too. Looking in his eyes, she saw everything she felt reflected back at her… which only made it worse. As he stroked his fingers down the side of her face, she lifted a hand to lightly touch his, almost leaning into his touch, then his hand slipped away as he left. Calli watched him go and let out a heavy sigh, wishing so many things had worked out differently in their lives. But… she knew since they had worked out like this, she should move on, had to move on…. The huge problem with that was… to what? Glancing over her shoulder, she watched the sun begin to rise for a moment, then turned her back to it again, and started walking further down the beach. She’d head back to the mansion soon, but not immediately. She’d let him get ahead a bit first, so they didn’t bump into each other again.

((Great, we're being compared to a soap Opera rolleyes I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
And we're also coming to hospitals near you! For some reason, soaps are always on in hospital rooms XP ))
After a while, Calli turned around again and trudged back up the hill towards the Haven, for once hoping not to bump into Kenshin. She had never imagined she wouldn't want to see him, but she hadn't imagined possible a lot of things that had now happened in her life.
